Incheon City to Provide 110 Billion Won in Special Interest Subsidy Funds for SMEs

Incheon Metropolitan City has announced a special interest subsidy fund worth 110 billion won to support the business stability of local small and medium-sized enterprises. Applications will open on May 19.

Last year, Incheon City launched a special fund project aimed at easing the financing cost burden for local SMEs.

The 2025 program utilizes funds allocated to Shinhan Bank’s special fund project last year that remained unused due to unexecuted loans. Up to 1 billion won per company will be provided, with repayment terms set as a one-year lump sum repayment.







Incheon City Holds Hydrogen Industry Committee Meeting


Incheon Metropolitan City held the 7th Hydrogen Industry Committee meeting on May 14 at Michuhol Tower, Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu.

The committee serves as a key body advising and supporting the implementation of Incheon’s policy direction to expand the use of hydrogen and hydrogen compound energy and foster related industries.

Following the meeting, the city plans to establish and release a ‘Basic Plan for Hydrogen Industry Development in Incheon Metropolitan City,’ containing mid- to long-term policy visions and goals for fostering the hydrogen industry. The plan is scheduled for public release in March 2026.







Incheon City Operates Healing Camp to Support Families of People with Mental Illness


Incheon Metropolitan City operated a natural healing camp to support families of people with mental illness in emotional recovery and recharging.

Participants relieved daily stress and restored mental and physical stability by experiencing nature-based healing activities in a forest setting, including the Five Elements Therapy Zone, aromatic foot baths, and thermal therapy.

A second session of the healing program is scheduled for August, with additional initiatives planned this year, including leisure and cultural support events and self-help groups for families.







Incheon City Holds First Incheon HRD Contest


The Incheon Human Resources Development Institute successfully held the first Incheon HRD Contest on May 14.

The contest targeted government employees from Incheon City, counties, and districts, providing a platform to share practical experiences, specialized knowledge, and know-how gained through their work and daily lives. The aim was to develop these insights into educational content that resonates with and engages fellow employees.

The top presenter received the Mayor’s Prize, while winners of the grand prize and excellence awards will have opportunities to serve as instructors in future training programs.







Michuhol-gu to Conduct 2025 Community Health Survey Starting May 16


Michuhol-gu in Incheon will conduct the '2025 Community Health Survey' from May 16 to July 31, targeting 902 adults aged 19 and older.

The survey aims to assess the health status and behaviors of local residents to inform the development of tailored public health policies. Participants are selected through a scientific sampling method to ensure statistically reliable results.

The survey includes 177 questions across 19 categories, covering topics such as smoking, alcohol consumption, physical activity, diet, chronic illnesses like hypertension and diabetes, access to healthcare, and mental health.







Namdong-gu Hosts Traditional Coming-of-Age Ceremony


Namdong-gu in Incheon held a traditional coming-of-age ceremony at the Namdong Cultural Center as the first event of the Traditional Culture Education Center.

According to the district, participants turning 19 this year took part as Gwanja (males) and Gyeja (females), experiencing the traditional rite of passage into adulthood and learning about the responsibilities and duties that come with it.

The event signals Namdong-gu’s commitment to expanding traditional cultural education and experiential programs in the local community, leveraging the expertise of the Namdong Cultural Center.
