Incheon Extends Land Transaction Permission Zone in Guwol 2 Public Housing District by One Year


Incheon announced today that it will extend the designation of the land transaction permission zone in the Guwol 2 Public Housing District and surrounding areas for one year.

Ahead of the expiration of the designation on the 20th, the city recently convened the Urban Planning Committee and re-designated a 5.43㎢ area spanning Seonhak-dong in Yeonsu-gu and Guwol-dong, Namchon-dong, and Susan-dong in Namdong-gu, which are development-restricted zones, as permission zones.

As a result, the designation of the land transaction permission zone will remain effective until September 20 of next year. The city expects this measure to encourage demand-driven transactions and help stabilize the real estate market.





Incheon and SSG Landers to Host ‘Incheon Landing Day’ Marking 75th Anniversary of the Incheon Landing Operation


Incheon announced that, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Incheon Landing Operation, it will co-host “Incheon Landing Day” with the SSG Landers at Incheon SSG Landers Field on September 19 and 20.

The event is designed to remind citizens that the Incheon Landing Operation was more than just a military maneuver—it was a historic starting point that opened the path to peace and prosperity for both Korea and Incheon—and to commemorate its significance together with the public.

During the event, a variety of fan programs will be held, including the issuance of specially designed tickets, a photo zone reenacting key moments of the Incheon Landing Operation, photo booth sessions with special frames on the first floor of the third-base side, and an SNS participation event where 75 audience members will be selected to receive the team’s photo book “Perfect Landing.”






Visa-Free Entry for Chinese Tour Groups… Incheon City Launches Tailored Strategy


With visa-free entry for Chinese tour groups set to take effect on the 29th, Incheon—serving as the nation’s main gateway—is moving swiftly to attract both individual and group tourists from China.

From September 12 to 15, Incheon and the Incheon Tourism Organization will dispatch a joint delegation to Weihai, China, to host the “Incheon Tourism Seminar” and carry out joint marketing with Incheon-based tourism businesses.

The city expects the implementation of the visa-free entry policy to significantly accelerate the increase of both individual and group tourists visiting Incheon.






Abandoned Lighting Turned into Resources… Incheon to Establish ‘Circular Economy Lighting Center’


Incheon has signed an investment agreement with Kiel Institute, a specialized organization in lighting technology, to establish a “Circular Economy Lighting Industry Support Center.”

The center will be built in the northern Incheon with a total investment of 40.8 billion won, and is scheduled for completion by 2028.

The facility will focus on developing recycling and resource-circulation technologies for discarded LED lightings, as well as demonstrating and commercializing carbon-reducing smart lighting systems.






‘2025 Life-Loving Night Walk’ to Be Held on the 20th at Songdo Moonlight Park


The “2025 Life-Loving Night Walk Suicide Prevention Campaign” will take place on September 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Moonlight Park in Songdo International City.

Two walking courses have been prepared: a 4 km route within Moonlight Park and a 7.9 km route symbolizing the youth suicide rate.

Participants will walk in the dark, sharing the value of “respect for life” and illuminating messages of hope.






Incheon’s Gyeyang-gu Boosts Community Vitality with ‘Aramanse Drawing Contest’


On September 27, Incheon’s Gyeyang-gu will host the “1st Aramanse Drawing Contest” at the Hwangeojangteo March 1st Democratization Movement Memorial Hall.

Ganghwa-gun to Launch ‘Free Taxi Service for Seniors’


Starting in October, Ganghwa-gun of Incheon will implement the “Free Taxi Service for Seniors,” a key pledge of the 8th civilian-elected local government administration.

The program will support transportation costs for county residents aged 70 and older, covering both bus and taxi fares up to a maximum of 240,000 won per year.

Through this initiative, the county expects to guarantee broader mobility rights for seniors who face difficulties using buses, enhance everyday convenience, and ultimately improve their quality of life.
