Incheon implements special Chuseok traffic measures to ensure safe and comfortable travel
The Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will implement the “2025 Chuseok Holiday Special Transportation Measures” during the 11-day holiday transport period from October 2 to 12, to ensure safe travel for citizens.
The measures cover five main areas: expanding public transportation capacity, strengthening traffic safety, operating a special traffic control center, enhancing public information, and improving travel convenience.
The city will monitor transportation in real time and work with the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, county and district offices, and related organizations to respond quickly to unexpected situations, minimizing congestion and inconvenience for citizens.
Incheon hosts “Senior Job Product Fair”
The Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will hold the “Senior Job Product Fair” tomorrow and the day after at the central hall on the first floor of Incheon City Hall.
The fair, held ahead of the Chuseok holiday and Senior Citizens’ Month in October, will showcase and sell products made by senior citizens participating in job programs, supporting their social participation and income generation.
The products, all handcrafted by participating seniors, are produced through a minimized distribution process, offering both reasonable prices and high quality.
Incheon Metropolitan City Museum offers walking tour on Wolmido to reflect on the Incheon Landing Operation
The Incheon Metropolitan City Museum announced that its popular citizen walking tour program, Tabak Tabak Incheon, will return for the second half of the year under the theme “The Memories of Wolmido in 1950.”
The program is connected to the special exhibition marking the 75th anniversary of the Incheon Landing Operation.
Wolmido, a strategic point that overlooked and controlled Incheon Port, played a decisive role in the success of the landing operation.
This edition of Tabak Tabak Incheon will focus on Wolmido, which served as a key bridgehead during the Korean War.
Incheon offers hands-on songpyeon-making program for Chuseok
The Incheon Metropolitan City Agricultural Technology Center announced thatit will host a “Chuseok Experience Program,” allowing citizens to celebrate the holidayby engaging in traditional culture and appreciating the value of agriculture and rural life.
The program is open to all Incheon citizens, with activities prepared for both adults and children.
Through a simple hands-on songpyeon-making activity, families can participate together and enjoy the festive spirit of Chuseok.
Namdong-gu to provide rabies vaccinations for dogs in October
Namdong-gu in Incheon will provide rabies vaccinations for dogs from October 1 to 28 at 26 designated veterinary hospitals.
Eligible dogs are those at least two months old that have not been vaccinated against rabies, or those whose last vaccination was more than a year ago.
The government will subsidize 50 percent of the cost, so pet owners will pay only 5,000 won per vaccination at the designated hospitals.
Seo-gu operates canoe experience program through November
Seo-gu in Incheon is running the “2025 Canoe Experience Program” to promote water leisure sports among residents.
The program is being held at Cheongna Lake Park every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday from this month through November 30.
Any elementary school student or older can participate free of charge, and applications can be made through Naver Band.
Yeonsu Library recruits participants for multicultural awareness workshop
Yeonsu Library is recruiting participants for a multicultural awareness workshop scheduled for September 24 from 10 to 11 a.m.
The workshop, titled “Learning Diversity and Citizenship through Understanding Students with Migrant Backgrounds,” is designed to respond to the increasing multicultural population in Yeonsu-gu by promoting cultural diversity and proper perspectives on immigrants.
The lecture will share field experiences and case studies from teaching multicultural students and discuss attitudes for global citizenship and coexistence.
