Incheon City Wins 'Innovation Award' at 2025 K-GEO Festa


Incheon City won the "Industry Innovation & Social Safety Zone Excellent Booth Innovation Award" at the 'K-Geo Awards' held at KINTEX from the 24th to 26th. According to Incheon City, this exhibition showcased under the theme "Real 3D Map Incheon, the Center of Spatial Information Leading South Korea" ▲ Incheon Island Travel Treasure Island 119 Virtual Reality (VR) tour experience ▲ Drone-based 3D mesh map construction achievements.

The presentation was attended by about 200 people including civil servants, industry experts, and students, making it a great success.






Incheon City Reaches Out Through Exchange Program for Asian Sister City Officials


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it held the '2025 Asian Exchange City Officials Invitation Training Program' for five days from the 22nd to 26th in the Songdo International City area. Six officials selected from cities with sister and friendship relationships with Incheon, including Haiphong, Vietnam; Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; and Fergana Province, Uzbekistan, participated in this training. The program focused on mutual exchange and learning by experiencing policies, culture, and field sites, strengthening inter-city cooperation networks, introducing Incheon's representative policy achievements and operational experience, and sharing policy challenges of participating cities.





Recruitment for 'Incheon Youth Cambodia Medical Volunteer Corps'


Incheon City, Inha University Hospital, and Shinhan Financial Group are recruiting for the '2025 Incheon Youth Global Medical Volunteer Corps.'

The city announced that it is recruiting around 20 Incheon youth to participate in a medical volunteer corps to be dispatched to Kampot Province, Cambodia, for a 4-night, 6-day schedule from December 15-20.

Eligibility requirements include having an address in Incheon and being a current or leave-of-absence student at a university located in Incheon. Applications can be downloaded from the Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation website from the 29th to October 22nd, completed, and submitted via email.





Incheon City Council Holds Speech Training to Strengthen Legislative Capacity


Incheon Metropolitan City Council announced that it conducted speech training to improve legislative expertise and public communication capabilities.

Incheon City Council recently conducted 'Council Member Speech Capacity Enhancement Training' for all council members and staff including the secretary-general.

This training was specifically designed to help build stronger trust with citizens through clear and persuasive speech in various legislative activity settings, and to enhance the dignity and effectiveness of legislative activities.






Incheon Port Authority Supports Social Economy Enterprises' Technology Development and Marketing


Incheon Port Authority (IPA) delivered funds for social economy enterprises at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Incheon Social Economy Expo held on the 26th at Wave Hall in Incheon Imagination Platform. This fund was established through an agreement signed last year to support technology development utilizing Incheon's island resources, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of local social economy enterprises while contributing to regional economic revitalization. IPA, Incheon City, and Incheon Social Economy Support Center have been jointly promoting this initiative for the second consecutive year. Each enterprise will receive 10 million won in technology development funds, which will be used for commercialization in various fields including technology development, marketing advancement, design improvement, and technology transfer.





Incheon Airport Corporation Opens Public Call for 'Professional Taekwondo Performance Teams' for Permanent Shows


Incheon International Airport Corporation announced that it is publicly recruiting professional Taekwondo performance teams to participate in the '2025-2026 Incheon Airport Taekwondo Permanent Performance' at Incheon Airport in Jung-gu, Incheon.

Incheon Airport Corporation previously conducted the 'Incheon Airport Great Taekwondo' special performance from July to September in collaboration with the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation to promote the charm of Taekwondo, Korea's national martial art, to the world and provide differentiated customer experiences to airport users.

Taekwondo performance teams should consist of at least 8 members aged 18 and above, and applicants can freely design their performance composition including breaking, poomsae (forms), and dance incorporating K-pop elements.
