[News] Incheon City Holds First ‘i-Plus(i+) MaejeoDream’ Wedding Ceremony

Through Incheon City's public wedding support program, i-Plus MaejeoDream, two couples have taken their first step into married life.

The city announced on the 12th that the first i-Plus MaejeoDream wedding ceremony was successfully held on the 11th at Harbor Park Hotel in Jung-gu.

This public wedding support program is a part of the city’s initiative to address the low birthrate, aimed at supporting engaged couples facing difficulties due to limited wedding venue availability and high expenses.

Incheon is offering 13 venues, including Incheon Citizen Love House, Open Port Plaza of Sangsang Platform, and Harbor Park Hotel, free of charge for weddings. The city also provides KRW 1 million in financial support per couple.

A long-awaited breakthrough has been made in the site bidding process for a new metropolitan landfill—an initiative critical to resolving the looming waste crisis threatening 26 million residents in the Seoul Capital Area.

The Incheon Metropolitan City announced on the 10th that two private businesses have officially submitted applications in response to the fourth call for proposals.

The four-party consultative body will assess the suitability of the proposed sites and coordinate with the respective municipal governments to select the final candidates.




[News] Incheon to Support Local Blockchain Firms’ Global Expansion via GITEX ENS 2025

The Incheon Metropolitan City will support the global expansion of local blockchain companies by participating in GITEX ENS (Expand North Star) 2025, the world's largest startup exhibition.

From October 12 to 15, Incheon will join the Korea Blockchain Pavilion at GITEX ENS 2025 in Dubai, UAE, alongside the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Busan City, and Daegu City.

Incheon will provide support for exhibition participation, local networking, and investment consultations to help local companies establish a foothold in overseas markets.

[News] Michuhol-gu Facilities Management Corporation Introduces ‘Prenatal Registration System’ for Public Parking Lots

The Michuhol-gu Facilities Management Corporation announced the launch of the Prenatal Registration System for Pregnant Women to support residents who use public parking facilities, as part of broader efforts to tackle population decline and low birthrates.

This system was introduced to eliminate the inconvenience of having to present proof of pregnancy every time a pregnant woman enters or exits a public parking lot to receive a fee discount.

By submitting the required documents through an online pre-registration process, pregnant residents of Incheon can receive parking fee discounts throughout their pregnancy. The benefit applies to 46 unmanned public parking facilities across the city, and applications can be submitted through the Corporation’s public parking website.
