Incheon City, 97.11% Application Rate for the 2nd Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that the application for the 2nd Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon will close on October 31, urging residents who have not yet applied to do so within the period.

Since September 22, the city has been receiving applications, and as of 24:00am on October 26, 2,734,742 out of 2,816,256 eligible applicants (97.11%) have completed the process.

Applications can be made online through the credit card companies’ websites or the Incheon e-eum app, or offline by visiting banks or local community service centers.





 

Incheon City Launches ‘University Youth Startup Fund 1 and 2’


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it held a business agreement ceremony for the “Incheon University Youth Startup Fund 1 and 2” at Incheon Technopark on October 27, officially launching the 31.02 billion fund to support local university startups.

The “Incheon University Youth Startup Fund” is a region-based startup fund jointly established by Incheon City and nine local universities, with a combined investment of 1.5 billion.

Through this agreement, Incheon City, Incheon Technopark, and each fund operator will cooperate to fulfill mandatory investments in university startups, discover promising ventures, support fundraising efforts, and promote a vibrant regional investment ecosystem.





 

Incheon City Hosts Online Consumer Quiz Event with Citizens


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will hold the “Online Event with Consumers” from October 27 to December 14 to prevent consumer damage and provide accurate information to citizens.

The event targets citizens who subscribe to the official social media accounts of the Incheon Consumer Life Center, the city’s consumer affairs organization. Through quizzes and interactive content, the event will share consumer information in a fun and accessible way, with various prize giveaways.

A city official stated, “We will reflect citizens’ opinions in policy to promote a consumer administration that provides real help.”






Incheon City Completes ‘Artificial Reef Facility Project’ to Restore Marine Ecosystems


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it successfully completed the “Artificial Reef Facility Project” from September to October this year to restore fishery resources and increase fishermen’s income in Incheon waters.

With a total budget of 1.64 billion, the project installed 432 artificial reefs in the coastal waters of Socheong, Deokjeok, and Jawol-myeon in Ongjin-gun to create sustainable fishing grounds and habitats for fish spawning.

The reefs were designed considering current flow, depth, and fish species characteristics, and are expected to contribute positively to marine ecosystem restoration and biodiversity. 





 

Incheon City Named Excellent Institution in ‘Aquatic Disease Simulation Training’


The Incheon Fisheries Technology Support Center announced that it was selected as the top-performing institution in the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries’ “2025 Aquatic Disease Simulation Training.”

The training, held from October 23 to 24, involved about 70 participants from 47 organizations, including the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the National Fishery Products Quality Management Service, and local governments.

The Incheon center received high marks for its on-site response procedures, understanding of quarantine manuals, and cooperative capabilities with related agencies.






Incheon City General Construction Headquarters Conducts 2025 Second Half Serious Accident Prevention Training


The Incheon Metropolitan City General Construction Headquarters held the “2025 Second Half Serious Accident Prevention and Safety and Health Training” with about 100 participants, including public construction project managers and on-site representatives.

The training aimed to strengthen safety responsibility and awareness following the Serious Accident Punishment Act, and to foster a voluntary safety culture at public construction sites.

Through this program, the headquarters plans to enhance safety management capacity and establish a field-centered safety and health management system through regular inspections to prevent industrial accidents.





 

Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education Reduces Public Property Rental Fee from 5% to 1%


The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will lower the public property rental fee rate from 5% to 1% to ease the burden on small business tenants.

At the 4th Public Property Deliberation Committee held on October 27, the office decided to reduce the rate and will secure the necessary budget to refund the difference to tenants through schools and institutions by December.





Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, Holds ‘Active Administration Best Practice Citizen Vote’


Incheon’s Ganghwa-gun announced that it will hold the “2025 Ganghwa-gun Active Administration Best Practice Citizen Vote” on its official website from October 27 to 31.

The event aims to increase citizens’ participation and engagement in administrative affairs and can be accessed easily through the “Active Administration Best Practice Vote” banner on the Ganghwa-gun Office website.

Out of 18 cases submitted by departments, 8 were shortlisted through the first review, and citizens will vote to select the best practices. The results will be combined with internal review scores to determine the final “Best Active Administration Cases and Outstanding Public Officials.”
