Incheon City Holds “Night of Guardians” Event to Celebrate Foster Families


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it hosted the 2025 Starlight Festival for Foster Families — Night of Guardians yesterday (November 6).

The event, organized by the Incheon Foster Care Support Center under Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea, was held to recognize the dedication of foster families and share the importance of family-based care with the community.

A city official said Incheon will continue to promote awareness and provide strong support so that all children can grow up safely and warmly within a family environment.





Incheon City Successfully Concludes Social Economy Promotion Festival


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that the Incheon Social Economy Promotion Festival, held in conjunction with the Dream Park Chrysanthemum Festival, concluded successfully with an enthusiastic response from citizens.

The festival took place from October 23 to November 5 at the Dream Park Wildflower Garden, drawing around 220,000 visitors who explored and purchased products from local social economy enterprises.

The event helped spread a culture of “good consumption,” encouraging citizens to support businesses that create social value.

One participant said it was a meaningful experience that went beyond simple purchasing by contributing to social good.





Incheon City Launches “Traveling Fair Trade Market” Program Will Promote Ethical Consumption


Incheon Metropolitan City will run the Traveling Fair Trade Market program from November 10 to 30 to encourage citizens to learn about and promote the values of fair trade.

The program is part of the global Fair Trade Fortnight campaign and aims to engage citizens in ethical consumption and social value practices.

Fair trade activists will act as modern-day merchants, bringing fair trade products and messages of ethical consumption to communities throughout the city.





Incheon City Supports Community Kimchi-Making Events with Salt from Sorae Wetland


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that its Incheon Grand Park Office supplied a total of 8 tons of sea salt—1 ton each to eight districts—from November 3 to 7.

The salt was traditionally produced at the salt fields in Sorae Wetland Ecological Park, where seawater is naturally evaporated by sunlight and wind across an area of about 35,000 square meters.

Incheon Tourism Organization Promotes City as a “Global MICE Platform Destination” at Korea MICE Expo 2025


Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization participated in the “Korea MICE Expo 2025,” held from November 3 to 5 at COEX in Seoul, promoting Incheon as a global MICE platform destination under the slogan “One and Only Destination, Incheon.”

KME is the largest and only professional exhibition in Korea dedicated to the MICE industry.

Together with 16 members of the Incheon MICE Alliance, the organization operated a joint promotional booth and held 166 one-on-one business meetings with domestic and international buyers.






Bupyeong-gu in Incheon Metropolitan City hosted the “2025 Youth Entrepreneurs 


Networking Day” on November 5 at YouYu Base Bupyeong.

The event, attended by more than 30 young entrepreneurs and startup experts, was designed to build a sustainable collaboration network among youth entrepreneurs and strengthen the local economy through innovation.

A district official stated that Bupyeong-gu will continue to actively support young entrepreneurs through various startup assistance programs.






Ongjin-gun Conducts “Outreach Children’s Traffic Safety Education”


Ongjin-gun announced that it conducted a “Outreach Children’s Traffic Safety Education” session yesterday (the 6th) at Yeongheung Elementary School in Yeongheung-myeon

The customized program, jointly organized by Ongjin-gun and the Incheon branch of the Korea Road Traffic Authority, is being offered this year to elementary schools across the islands to raise traffic safety awareness among children and help them learn how to protect themselves.

Children showed great excitement as they took part in the interactive safety training.
