Incheon City Dance Theatre Recruits New Performers
The Incheon Culture and Arts Center says it is recruiting new performers to join the Incheon City Dance Theatre. Recognized for its artistic excellence and active performances at home and abroad, the company is seeking three talented dancers to help shape its future.
The highest-scoring applicant will be selected as a full-time member, while the next-ranked candidates will be appointed as contract-based non-full-time performers.
The selection process consists of a practical audition followed by an in-person interview. Applications will be accepted by registered mail only from June 25 through 6 p.m. on June 29.
Incheon TP & Incheon Metropolitan City to Host 2nd Root Industry Job Fair
Incheon Technopark and the Incheon Metropolitan Government will hold the Second Root Industry Job Fair of 2026 on June 24 at the Namdong Lifelong Learning Center.
The event is part of the 2026 Incheon Regional Innovation Project and aims to ease labor shortages in key manufacturing sectors such as casting, mold-making and welding.
The fair will feature one-on-one, on-site interviews between job seekers and company recruiters.
Those interested in participating can simply bring a résumé and attend the event without prior registration.
Incheon Institute, Ecological River Committee Sign MOU on Ecological Stream Policies
The Incheon Institute and the Incheon Ecological River Committee will sign a memorandum of understanding on June 16 to promote the policy development and conservation of the region’s ecological streams.
The committee is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to preserving the ecological value of local waterways and creating healthy riverside environments.
Its activities include river cleanups, ecosystem monitoring, the “One Company, One Stream” campaign and youth environmental volunteer programs.
Through the agreement, the two organizations plan to expand cooperation across a wide range of areas related to ecological stream management and environmental conservation.
Incheon Levies 134.2 Billion Won in June Vehicle Taxes
Incheon Metropolitan City has issued approximately 980-thousand vehicle tax bills totaling 134.2 billion won, including local education taxes, for the June 2026 assessment period.
Vehicle taxes are levied twice a year, in June and December, on owners of registered vehicles and certain construction machinery, including dump trucks and concrete mixer trucks, as of June 1.
For vehicles newly registered or transferred during the first half of the year, taxes are prorated based on the actual ownership period.
Vehicles for which annual taxes have already been paid in advance are exempt from this June assessment.
The total amount assessed this year is about 500 million won higher than a year earlier.
Incheon to Hold Online Tourism Events Through Year-End
Incheon Metropolitan City says it will host six online participation events on its official tourism portal, Incheon Tour, from June through December to promote local tourism and strengthen engagement with residents.
Anyone visiting the website can participate regardless of where they live by submitting entries through the event section according to each month's theme. Participants selected through a drawing will receive mobile gift certificates.
The monthly events are designed to introduce Incheon’s major policies and tourism resources in an engaging way while encouraging the use of various tourism services.
Winners will be announced on the website and notified individually by text message.
Incheon Metropolitan City Museum Opens Special Exhibition on Lee Yeol-mo
The Incheon Metropolitan City Museum is holding a donation special exhibition from June 16 through July 12 to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of renowned Korean painter Chang-un Lee Yeol-mo.
Titled “Vividly Blue... The Return of Brush and Ink,”the exhibition showcases 362 donated works and personal belongings contributed by the artist’s family in 2025.
The exhibition traces Lee’s lifelong artistic journey and highlights his distinctive depictions of Korea’s landscapes through refined brushwork and a clear artistic vision.
Born in Boeun, Chungcheongbuk-do, Lee moved to Incheon with his family at the age of 10 and experienced both Korea’s liberation and the devastation of the Korean War in the city.
The exhibition is being held at the museum’s special exhibition gallery.
