- Incorporating the new “2 gun, 9 gu” administrative layout and National Basic District updates launching on July 1 -

Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will provide an updated “2026 New Address Information Map” starting July 1, reflecting structural changes in local governance driven by the Incheon-style administrative restructuring.
The newly released map has been designed to provide a comprehensive view of Incheon’s address system at a glance, incorporating the adjusted boundaries of the revised “2 gun, 9 gu” administrative framework launching on July 1, alongside updated National Basic District configurations and the latest developments in ongoing urban renewal projects.
In particular, the map integrates detailed guidance from the National Basic District to help residents accurately and safely identify specific locations. To maximize practical utility for leisure and tourism, it also clearly highlights prominent recreational routes, including the Ganghwa Nadeul-gil—one of Incheon’s signature premium healing trails—and the Yeongjong 300-ri Bicycle Trail, an iconic route tailored for cycling tourists.
The updated map will be made available as JPG files and other digital formats. To accommodate digitally vulnerable demographics, including older adults, the city will separately produce and distribute 2,000 physical, foldable paper maps. To enhance citizen convenience, these printed maps will feature QR codes, enabling users to easily download the digital version straight to their mobile devices.
Beginning July 1, the digital maps will be open for viewing and downloads through “Incheon iMap” (imap.incheon.go.kr), the city’s official map portal. Meanwhile, paper maps will be distributed free of charge at the civil service offices of the region’s 11 gun and gu governments, as well as at seven tourist information centers located throughout the city.
Seo Jeong-ha, Head of the Land Information Division of Incheon, stated, “We focused primarily on crafting this map so that citizens can immediately experience and navigate the structural updates resulting from the launch of the new Incheon-style administrative system in their daily lives. We will continue to expand citizen-centric address administration services to ensure that all residents, including those who are digitally underserved, can access location information conveniently.”
