Incheon Global Campus, Mentoring Youth in English and Arts in Dongincheon and Island Areas

The Incheon Global Campus Operations Foundation(IGC) held the "Youth English and Arts Mentoring Program" twice on June 26 and July 10.

The "Youth English and Arts Mentoring Program" involves talented university students from five international universities within the IGC, including State University of New York (SBU, FIT), Ghent University, the University of Utah, and George Mason University Korea. These students serve as one-day instructors, visiting schools in Dongincheon and island areas to conduct culture and art classes as part of the mentoring program.

As part of the IGC students' community contribution activities, the IGC also plans to run the "Youth Digital Education Mentoring Program" and the "1:1 Mentoring Program" in the second half of this year.


'Only Incheon Talk Concert' Communicates with Citizens to Envision Incheon's Future

The city of Incheon held the 2nd "Only Incheon Talk Concert" at the Songdo Tri-bowl performance hall on the 10th, engaging with citizens.

The event, themed "Talking About Incheon's Future," aimed to enhance citizens' pride by discussing Incheon's past and present, and to communicate about the future of Incheon as a "city where citizens are happy."

Performances by Incheon University's music creation club "FolkLine," the male pop opera group "La Classe," and the Yudabin Band enriched the summer evening for the citizens.


Incheon City Office of Education Launches Special Period for Strengthening Student Life Education Ahead of Summer Vacation

The Incheon City Office of Education announced that it has established and informed schools of the "2024 Summer Vacation Student Life Education Enhancement Plan" to support a safe summer for students, preventing delinquency and exposure to crime after the first-semester final exams until the end of the summer vacation.

This plan includes the development of guidance plans at the school level, thorough student life education, and the establishment of cooperative systems with families and related organizations to strengthen student life education.

An official from the Incheon City Office of Education stated, "To prevent student crime and delinquency and to prevent school violence, we will closely cooperate with families, schools, and related organizations to strengthen joint responses to at-risk students and help them grow properly."


Incheon City Wins ‘Best Award' for Senior Employment Project


The city of Incheon announced that it has been selected for the 'Best Award' in the comprehensive evaluation targeting 17 metropolitan and provincial local governments as part of the '2023 Senior Employment Project Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare this year.


Last year, the city collaborated with 50 senior employment agencies, including district offices, the Senior Human Resources Development Center, and senior clubs, providing a total of 50,550 seniors with various job opportunities, significantly contributing to the increase in their actual income.


An Incheon city official stated, "We will continue to expand high-quality senior employment opportunities that allow seniors to feel a sense of fulfillment through their work."
