Incheon City Conducts Special Health Supplement Inspections Before Chuseok


Incheon City has conducted special inspections of health supplements ahead of Chuseok, due to some products being found with excessive bacteria. The city expects a rise in health product sales for the holiday and wants to prevent food safety issues.

The checks, carried out in August, covered 138 small health food producers and 12 health supplement manufacturers. This effort aims to ensure that seniors can buy safe and clean health products for the holiday.

Incheon City was recognized as an outstanding organization in the 2024 Local Government Active Administration Performance Review, conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. It was the only metropolitan city among 17 to be selected. Incheon was chosen for its efforts in promoting active administration, including monthly news updates, staff training to prevent passive administration, and the introduction of new performance indicators. The review evaluated 243 local governments based on their system usage and successful case promotion.






Incheon to Strengthen Dangerous Dog Management with Temperament Tests Starting September 29


Incheon City announced that starting from September 29, it will conduct temperament tests for dangerous dogs as part of the “Dangerous Dog Ownership Permit” system.

Owners of specific breeds, such as Tosa, Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and Rottweiler, must apply for a permit by October 26. The temperament test includes evaluating the dog’s behavior in scenarios like wearing a muzzle and walking past strangers, with 12 key factors considered for the permit approval.





Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok Inspects Emergency Medical Sites


On the 9th, Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok inspected local emergency medical site and met with officials before the Chuseok holiday. This visit aimed to ensure a smooth emergency care system and gather feedback, especially important as this is the first major holiday after the departure of medical residents. Mayor Yoo expressed gratitude to medical staff for their dedication in challenging times.
