Global Life Sciences Company Cytiva Opens 'Innovation Hub' with First Domestic Manufacturing Facility in Songdo


The Incheon Free Economic Zone(IFEZ) announced today that it held an opening ceremony for the 'Cytiva Korea Innovation Hub' at a facility located in Songdo.

The Innovation Hub, which has established itself in Songdo, Incheon, is Cytiva's first production facility in Korea. It will consist of a manufacturing center for biopharmaceutical raw materials (such as filters), along with facilities for biopharmaceutical production and solution training.

Wonsok Yun, Commissioner of IFEZ, stated, "With the global life sciences company Cytiva opening its Innovation Hub in Songdo, it once again solidifies Songdo's position as a global bio hub. Through close cooperation, we will explore ways to vitalize the bio cluster, including nurturing specialized bio personnel.“






October Brings Something Special to Incheon's Autumn Nights


Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Tourism Organization are hosting night cultural events, 'Night Picnic Concert' and 'Wolmi-Open Port Night Market' in Wolmido and the Open Port area to revitalize night tourism in Incheon's old downtown.

As Incheon enters the third year of its night tourism specialization project, the city has expanded its core night tourism destinations from Songdo to include Wolmido and the Open Port area.

Accordingly, the strategy is to develop self-sustaining programs centered on the old downtown area to establish a foundation for sustainable night tourism, distinguishing Incheon as a unique night tourism city compared to other regions.

The 'all nights INCHEON Night Picnic Concert' will be held for a total of three days on October 3 (Thursday), 11 (Friday), and 12 (Saturday) from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Incheon Imagination Platform 1883 Open Port Square.






Fall in Love with Incheon While Walking... Incheon Metropolitan City Operates Walking Tour Program


The Incheon Metropolitan City Museum has announced that it will operate a walking tour program titled "Step by Step, Incheon - Walking the Open Port through the Eyes of Foreigners" for a total of four sessions from October 8 to 25.

Incheon, which opened its port in 1883, established foreign settlements centered around Jemulpo, including various national concessions, Chinese concessions, and Japanese concessions for foreigners.

This tour plans to walk through the Chinese and Japanese concessions formed in the open port area from the perspective of foreigners.

The program is open to anyone over 20 years old, and starting today, participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis for 20 people per session through the Incheon Metropolitan City Museum website.






2024 Global Music Tour ‘NEWTRO RHYTHM’ to be Held in Incheon Songdo on October 12-13!


The 2024 Global Music Tour NEWTRO RHYTHM will be held for two days from October 12 (Saturday) to 13 (Sunday) at Songdo Tribowl.

'NEWTRO RHYTHM', hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City and organized by the Incheon Cultural Foundation, is an international performing arts program designed to align with the 'Newtro' trend of enjoying retro in a new way.
