Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority Announces International School Bidding for Midan City


The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority has launched an international bidding process to establish a foreign educational institution in Midan City, Yeongjong International City, targeting a 2028–2029 opening. The school will be built on a 96,000㎡ site in Unbuk-dong, Incheon. The bidding period ends on January 10, 2024, with a preferred bidder to be selected thereafter.




Incheon Education Office Plans to Open Education Museum by 2029


The Incheon Education Office is planning to open the “Incheon Education Museum” by 2029 with a budget of 10.3 billion KRW. The museum will showcase the history of Incheon’s education from the Goryeo and Joseon eras to the modern day, featuring textbooks, graduation albums, and educational materials.




Incheon Releases 360,000 Native Mussels in Baengnyeongdo Waters


In an effort to restore fishery resources, Incheon has released 358,000 native mussels in the waters of Baengnyeong Island. The mussels were cultivated for 180 days after being fertilized in April. These robust mussels are expected to enhance local fishermen’s income due to their rich flavor.




Incheon Introduces 7 New Bus Routes for Yeongjong, Songdo, and Geomdan


Incheon will launch seven new bus routes with 40 additional buses starting from October 19 to improve public transportation in Yeongjong, Songdo, and Geomdan. This follows the March expansion of 11 routes and 19 buses. These areas have seen a population increase of over 30% since the bus network overhaul in 2020.
