Incheon Youth Future Center Launches Family Care Youth Program


The Incheon Youth Future Center has officially launched its program for “family care youth,” referring to young people aged 13 to 34 who care for family members who are ill or have limited mobility. Eligible applicants residing in Incheon can receive up to 2 million KRW annually for family care expenses. This support is intended to be used for the youth’s personal development, such as education, leisure, or medical costs, rather than for family caregiving needs.






Incheon Office of Education Introduces Special Needs Classes for Young Children with Severe Disabilities


The Incheon Office of Education is expanding its special education offerings by introducing new classes for preschool children with severe and multiple disabilities. For the first time in Korea, two special needs classes will be opened at Jayu Kindergarten, designed to accommodate children’s developmental stages and individual needs. In total, 121 special needs classes will be available in Incheon, serving around 450 children.





Incheon’s Cultural Heritage Night Walk to Highlight Open Port Area


Incheon Tourism Organization announced that the second installment of the 2024 Incheon Open Port Cultural Heritage Night Walk will be held from October 19 to 20 across the Open Port Cultural District. Now in its ninth year, the event will showcase Incheon’s modern cultural heritage through a variety of night-time activities under the theme Since 1883, Heritage Incheon. The event aims to promote the city’s historical value and support regional development.






Songdo Lotte Mall Phase 3 Construction to Be Completed by 2026


Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) has confirmed that the third phase of the Songdo Lotte Mall project has passed its landscape review, allowing the project to proceed smoothly. The phase includes the construction of a shopping mall and resort, with a completion target set for the end of 2026. IFEZ officials assured that they will continue to closely monitor the progress to ensure timely completion.
