Incheon City announced that it is preparing for the 1st Incheon Social Economy Expo, which will be held on November 22-23 at Songdo Convensia. The city has created a civilian organizing committee, made up of representatives from social economy organizations and support agencies. The event will focus on promoting the social economy and fostering related activities.

The Incheon Korean Immigration Museum is hosting a special event called Crunchy Carrot Kimchi as part of the ‘Shine, Goryeo Theater’ exhibition, commemorating 160 years of Korean immigration. Carrot Kimchi is popular in Central Asia, Russia, and Europe, where it is often called ‘Korean Salad’ due to its crunchy texture and sweet-tangy flavor. The event is open to families with elementary school-aged children and will take place on October 26, November 9, November 23, and December 7.

Incheon Special Police Find 12 Businesses Violating Food Safety Laws

The Incheon Special Judicial Police recently found 12 food businesses breaking food safety laws, such as operating without a license or storing expired products. The inspections were conducted from September 23 to October 11. These businesses will face administrative penalties, and some will be investigated further and referred to the prosecution.

Incheon’s Cultural Heritage Night Walk to Highlight Open Port Area

Incheon Tourism Organization announced that the second installment of the 2024 Incheon Open Port Cultural Heritage Night Walk will be held from October 19 to 20 across the Open Port Cultural District. Now in its ninth year, the event will showcase Incheon’s modern cultural heritage through a variety of night-time activities under the theme Since 1883, Heritage Incheon. The event aims to promote the city’s historical value and support regional development.
