IFEZ Hosts Incheon Global Top 10 Cities Week
From November 8 to 15, Incheon will welcome potential investors, foreign journalists, government and city representatives, and business delegations from over 30 countries for the ‘Incheon Global Top 10 Cities Week.’
Throughout the week, the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) will hold various events, including an investor relations meeting, a Smart City Summit, and a Korea-China Advanced Industries Forum. These efforts aim to strengthen Incheon’s global leadership.
An IFEZ representative stated, “We will leverage our economic success as a free zone to boost global leadership, attract investment, and create new business opportunities as we work to fuel Incheon’s growth.”
IFEZ Begins Vaccine and Biopharmaceutical Production Training
IFEZ and the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced a four-week Vaccine and Biopharmaceutical Production Process Training program from November 11 to December 6, held at Yonsei University’s K-NIBRT Center in Songdo.
This program, developed in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), aims to build vaccine production skills for middle- and low-income countries. The program will host 59 trainees from 27 countries, selected through a WHO and Ministry committee.
The course will be led by the Global Bio Workforce Training Hub, which recently opened at Yonsei University, with training provided by Yonsei’s K-NIBRT Center and the International Vaccine Institute (IVI).
Incheon Introduces Cyber Service Center for Water Bill Discounts
Incheon has launched an online Cyber Service Center to simplify applications for water bill discounts, particularly benefiting low-income and large families.
Since January, eligible residents have been able to apply for discounts online. As of October, 90% of the 65,714 households eligible have used this service.
The Waterworks Headquarters emphasized that the online system not only improves administrative efficiency but also enhances privacy protection and reduces processing time for residents.
Incheon Unveils Virtual City Experience ‘Incheoncraft’ at 2024 Korea Government Expo
Incheon will showcase Incheoncraft—a virtual city experience—at the 2024 Korea Government Expo from November 13 to 15 at Gwangju’s Kim Dae-jung Convention Center.
The event, hosted by the Ministry of Interior and Safety and the Digital Government Committee, will feature 130 government agencies, local authorities, and private companies sharing innovative achievements and the future vision of the Korean government.
Displayed in the “Convenient Services” zone, Incheoncraft will allow visitors to explore Incheon’s industry, history, and future through a virtual city based on the popular game Minecraft.
