Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority Hosts 5th IFEZ Foreigners Kimchi Making and Sharing Event
IFEZ held the 5th Kimchi Making and Sharing event for foreigners at the IFEZ Global Center in Songdo International City on December 4th.
This event offered foreigners the opportunity to experience Korea's traditional kimchi-making culture and engage in acts of sharing with the local community. More than 30 foreign participants carefully prepared kimchi, and then, through the Yeonsu-gu Senior Welfare Center, the kimchi was delivered to 120 households of elderly people who are living alone and receiving free meals.
This kimchi-making event allowed foreigners to deepen their understanding on Korean culture while contributing to a warm spirit of sharing in the local community.
Celebrating the Passage of the Incheon High Court Bill
On December 5th, the city of Incheon hosted a ceremony at the Incheon City Hall to commemorate the passage of the bill for the establishment of the Incheon High Court by the National Assembly.
The event was organized to express gratitude to citizens who supported the establishment of high court and to celebrate the long-awaited realization of the bill passage.
Around 150 people attended, including local lawmakers, legal professionals, and citizens. The ceremony featured a pre-event celebration performance, a progress report, a commemorative video screening, the presentation of appreciation plaques, speeches from key figures, and a special performance. Attendees shared in the joy of Incheon’s securing the High Court.
Incheon City to Develop Citizen Park of Tangible Happiness in the Old City Center
Incheon City is moving forward with plans to create a citizen-friendly park in the old downtown area to enhance the tangible happiness of local residents.
The new park will feature barefoot walking trails, flower-lined walking paths, world-embracing I-Dream Park, children's playgrounds, and plenty of shaded rest areas.
The city will establish barefoot trails at three locations including the Sijjeong Green Field in Bupyeong, and install foot washing stations and other amenities at 10 locations including the Icheon Park in Gyeyang.
These efforts aim to provide safe and convenient spaces for citizens in order to enjoy their daily lives.
‘Art Center Incheon Year-End Concert’
Art Center Incheon will host a special year-end concert, which is " Opera Gala Concert," on December 14th and 15th.
This concert is not only a year-end performance but also a special occasion to share hope and emotion through music.
The opera gala concert will feature a selection of beloved and moving classical pieces, making it an enjoyable experience for both classical music enthusiasts and the general public. Everyone is invited to join and celebrate the closing of this year with abundance of music that inspires and uplifts.
