IFEZ Hosts 2024 Songdo Resident Project Briefing
The IFEZ held a project briefing on the evening of the 18th at G-Tower in Songdo International City. Around 70 residents attended the event.
The briefing aimed to share the development direction and major projects of Songdo with the residents and to hear their opinions. Residents stressed the need for cultural facilities, such as second phase of Incheon Art Center, for Songdo to grow as an international city.
Commissioner 윤원석 remarked, "I remember the hopes of the citizens from our on-site meetings, and we are doing our utmost to push forward with these projects quickly.
Exhibition of IFEZ Contest Winners' Work Now Open
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) announced yesterday (the 19th) that they have held the awards ceremony for the ‘IFEZ Video and Photo Contest’. An exhibition of the winning entries is now open to the public.
To promote the region on social media and new media platforms, IFEZ sought videos and photos showcasing the beauty of Songdo, Yeongjong, and Cheongna. The contest, which ran from October 28 to November 25, attracted 384 entries.
After two rounds of judging, three winning works from each category were selected.
The award-winning entries will be on display at the promotion hall of Songdo G-Tower until December 27. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the exhibition.
Incheon City Signs Agreement for the One-Thousand-Won Housing Supply
Incheon Metropolitan City has announced the formal commencement of its 'I-Plus House Dream' project, a housing policy designed to address low birth rates, which was introduced last July.
After unveiling the policy, Incheon City completed the administrative procedures, including budgeting for the project. On December 3, the city finalized discussions with the Ministry of Health and Welfare about establishing a new social security system, ensuring all preparations for the project's implementation are complete.
To move forward with resident recruitment, Incheon City has signed a supply agreement with the Incheon Housing and City Development Corporation. The recruitment process will begin with purchased rental housing and expand to include rental apartments sequentially.
Incheon City Wins 2024 Korea Local Finance Award
Incheon Metropolitan City has been honored with the grand prize in the 17th Korea Local Finance Award, organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a financial incentive of 400 million won.
Incheon City, under the theme "Continuing Financial Innovation for Sound Fiscal Health," presented its recent efforts to address fiscal soundness concerns in the face of unstable revenue conditions and increasing fiscal project expenditures. By sharing its achievements in reducing the budget by a total of 122.1 billion won, the city garnered significant acclaim from the audience.
