Incheon to Recruit Prospective Tenants for ‘1,000-Won Housing’ Starting March 6


Incheon City is officially launching a project to provide newlyweds with housing for a daily rent of just 1,000 won.

The city announced that applications for the “2025 1,000-Won Housing” will be accepted from March 6 to 14.

A total of 500 homes, each with a size of 85㎡ or less, will be offered. The city plans to select 1,000 prospective tenants.

This program targets newlyweds and single-parent families living in Incheon, including couples married for less than seven years and engaged couples. The lease period is two years, with a maximum extension to six years, and the monthly rent is around 30,000 won.






Incheon Olympic Memorial Civic Center Renovated for the First Time in 33 Years


Incheon City has completed a major renovation of the Olympic Memorial Civic Center, built in 1992 in Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu.

The facility has two underground and three above-ground floors, covering a total area of 6,600㎡. It includes a swimming pool, small auditorium, gymnasium, fitness center, and shower rooms.

The city invested 10.8 billion won to upgrade the building’s interior and exterior, as well as replace mechanical, electrical, and communication systems.

The small auditorium will also be renovated this year, and by 2027, the city plans to expand the parking lot with a budget of 7.4 billion won.






Graduation Ceremony Held at Namdong Geulbeot School in Incheon


Students who missed the chance to study during childhood have earned elementary school diplomas after three years of dedicated learning.

Namdong-gu held the 4th graduation ceremony at the Lifelong Learning Center yesterday (10th) and awarded diplomas to 22 students.

Namdong Geulbeot School, designated by the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, has been operated by Namdong-gu since 2015.

The graduates, with an average age of 72, completed a total of 720 hours of classes over three years, attending three times per week.





Bupyeong-gu Plans Development of Ground Space Following Gyeongin Expressway Underground Project


Bupyeong-gu is preparing a development plan for the ground space resulting from the undergrounding of the Gyeongin Expressway.

Bupyeong-gu expects to secure up to 43,000㎡ near the Bupyeong Interchange (IC) and explore ways to boost the local economy.

Bupyeong-gu has added this development plan to the ongoing district plan for the area around Gulpo Stream since last year.

A Bupyeong-gu official stated, “Developing the surface along with the underground expressway will help reconnect Bupyeong, Gyeyang, and Bucheon, bringing new energy to the region.”
