Incheon City Recruiting Participants for 'Dream For Youth Account'


Incheon City is recruiting participants for the 'Dream For Youth Account' program, which supports young people in planning their future stably and building up savings.

The 'Dream For Youth Account' is a program where if young workers save 150,000 won monthly for 3 years (for a total of 5.4 million won), Incheon City provides a matching amount of 5.4 million won at maturity, helping them accumulate a total asset of 10.8 million won.

By 2024, a total of 4,024 young workers have received support, and this year the city plans to support 1,000 people.

Eligible applicants are young workers aged 18 to 39 who reside in Incheon and have been working at a workplace located in Incheon for more than one year.





Incheon City Goes All Out to Attract International Cruise Tourists at Miami Event


Incheon City, together with the Incheon Tourism Organization and Incheon Port Authority, plans to actively engage in promotional efforts targeting major international cruise lines and travel agencies at 'Seatrade Cruise Global', the world's largest cruise exhibition taking place in Miami, USA from the 7th to the 10th.

This exhibition is the world's largest cruise business fair, with approximately 11,000 participants including 600 exhibiting organizations from 120 countries worldwide and about 2,700 cruise line representatives.

At the exhibition, Incheon City will introduce its unique tourism products and promote its geographical advantage of being close to Incheon International Airport, as well as its cruise terminal facilities—the largest in Korea—which can accommodate cruise ships up to 225,000 tons.





Incheon City Conducts Suicide Prevention Expert Training


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it conducted 'Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)' for suicide prevention and survivor support personnel on the 3rd and 4th at the Incheon Metropolitan Suicide Prevention Center.

This training was a specialized program designed to enhance practitioners' ability to respond to suicide crises, consisting of discussions, audiovisual education, and role-playing to help understand those at risk of suicide, and systematically train participants in suicide intervention model theory and crisis intervention techniques.

Incheon City plans to strengthen rapid initial response and intervention capabilities in suicide crisis situations through this training, reduce the risk for suicide attempters, and continue to implement various specialized training programs to continuously improve the capabilities of dedicated suicide prevention personnel.





Incheon City Supports Conversion of Children's School Buses to LPG


Incheon City is supporting the conversion of children's school buses to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vehicles.

The city announced that it is accepting applications for subsidies to support a total of 10 vehicles, providing 3 million won per LPG school bus.

Eligible applicants are vehicle owners who scrap their diesel vehicles and purchase new LPG vehicles to register them as children's school buses with the city. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting today (the 7th) until the budget is exhausted. Applications can be submitted by visiting the city's Air Conservation Department or by registered mail.
