Incheon City Launches Good Reading Habits with Book Start Packages
Incheon Metropolitan City's Michuhol Library, along with 27 public libraries across Incheon, is initiating the "2025 Incheon Metropolitan City Book Start Project" targeting infants, young children, and elementary school students.
Book Start is a social childcare program with the purpose of "starting life with books," aiming to establish reading as a lifelong habit by gifting book packages consisting of a bag containing two picture books and one guidebook to parents and children.
This project targets children from infancy through elementary school grades 1-2, and plans to support the natural transition of reading habits formed from early childhood into school life through age-appropriate book packages for each developmental stage.
Incheon City to Operate Forest Experience Programs
Incheon Metropolitan City's Grand Park Office has announced that it will be operating forest experience programs at the arboretum and children's forest experience center within Incheon Grand Park until November.
The forest interpretation program provides educational experiences where participants can directly observe and learn about native plants and insects exhibited in the arboretum with forest interpreters. Customized programs have been prepared not only for individuals and groups aged 5 and older but also for institutions serving elderly people with dementia and those with disabilities.
The children's forest education program is conducted in the children's forest experience center, an ecologically preserved area within Incheon Grand Park. The activities help children's holistic development through play utilizing forests and nature.

Incheon Arts and Culture Center's "Golden Rabbit" Returns with 23 Performances This Year
The Incheon Metropolitan City Arts and Culture Center's outdoor arts stage "Golden Rabbit" returns with an even more enriched program as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.
This year, a total of 23 performances will be held at the outdoor theater every Friday and Saturday from April to July to welcome audiences.
"Golden Rabbit" (Hwang.Geum.To.Kki) is an abbreviation for "Golden Friday, Saturday Talented Stage" in Korean, offering enjoyable performances without restrictions on attire, format, or admission fees. It serves as an open stage for all who wish to start their weekend in a relaxed atmosphere.
Songam Art Museum Recruiting Elementary Weekend Education Participants
Incheon Metropolitan City's Songam Art Museum has announced that it will be operating "Find the Secret of the Art Museum" program for 3rd to 5th grade elementary school students every fourth Saturday from April to June.
"Find the Secret of the Art Museum" is an experiential program linked to Songam Art Museum's permanent exhibition, providing opportunities to learn about artworks in an easy and fun way through various activities including exhibition viewing, activity sheet completion, and creating personalized artifact lighting.
The program will recruit participants individually on a first-come, first-served basis through the Incheon Metropolitan City Online Integrated Reservation website. Applications can be made from Monday to Friday the week before each program begins.
