Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority is looking for 20 companies to join CES 2026


The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority is now accepting applications from local companies to participate in CES 2026, the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition.

Twenty innovative companies based in Incheon, either by headquarters, factories, or research centers, will be selected. Ten will join the IFEZ exhibition booth and the other ten will be placed in the Korean national pavilion.

Applications can be submitted online through the BizOK platform until July 13.






Incheon’s new hospital ship begins temporary medical services on Baengnyeong and Daecheong Islands


Incheon City announced that its new hospital ship, the Geongang Ongjin-ho, has launched temporary medical services for residents of Baengnyeong and Daecheong Islands.

Over two days, around 200 residents are expected to receive medical care.

The ship's service areas have also expanded. Previously covering only Deokjeok, Jawol, and Yeonpyeong Islands, it will now include Baengnyeong, Daecheong, and Bukdo Islands, bringing the total to six locations.







Incheon City launches a safety inspection support program for welfare facilities


Incheon City has started a new safety inspection support program for local social welfare facilities in collaboration with the Incheon Social Service Center.

The program focuses on three areas: fire and electrical safety, pest control and disinfection, and vehicle sanitation.

After recruiting participating institutions in April, the city began offering the services in full on May 26.

The program will support 33 facilities up to three times per year. 

Incheon will cover all costs related to pest control and disinfection, which are essential for daily operations. This move has drawn positive feedback from everyone involved.








Incheon education office signs agreement with Army to train future military professionals


The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education has signed an agreement with the Army Personnel Command to support the development of military talent.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will provide career education and promote military officer recruitment. This program targets both military-specialized high schools and general high schools with military-related departments or clubs.

According to the education office, this is the first official partnership of its kind between the Army Personnel Command and any of the 17 regional education offices in Korea.







Incheon education office offers special career lectures for May


The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education is offering a special lecture series this May to help students and parents explore career options and plan for the future together.

The series will be held online over four sessions. It will provide practical information on career paths, communication strategies, and the world of work.

About 600 parents from Incheon are expected to join. 

The lectures will focus on helping parents improve their guidance skills, especially in communicating with their children about future careers.







Eurwangni Beach in Jung-gu is ready for summer after shoreline restoration


Incheon’s Jung-gu District has completed a sand replenishment project at Eurwangni Beach ahead of the summer season.

The project, carried out from May 7 to 16, involved adding sand to restore the beach’s shape and function, creating a safer and cleaner environment for visitors.

Eurwangni Beach is one of Incheon’s most popular coastal tourist destinations. It continues to attract visitors from the capital region and will officially open for the summer season on June 21.
