Incheon City Implements Customized Heat Wave Preparedness Measures for Homeless and Low-Income Housing Residents
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will pursue comprehensive measures to protect street homeless individuals and low-income housing residents from summer heat waves from June to September, as severe heat waves are forecasted for this summer.
Incheon City has designated July and August, when heat waves are most severe, as intensive protection periods. For street homeless individuals and low-income housing residents who are vulnerable to heat waves, the city plans to strengthen protection by expanding patrols in homeless hotspot areas, opening cooling shelters, and providing cooling supplies.
Currently, Incheon City is home to 98 street homeless individuals, 260 shelter homeless individuals, and 251 low-income housing residents.
Incheon City Begins Full Implementation of Customized Consulting
Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Tourism Organization announced that they will begin full implementation of the '2025 Incheon Tourism Customized Business Consulting' starting in June to strengthen the management capabilities of local tourism companies and support sustainable growth.
This project targets tourism businesses located in Incheon, and operates through a system where specialized consultants in each field conduct preliminary assessments and matching procedures before directly visiting companies to provide consultations.
Participating companies will receive up to 5 basic consulting sessions, and this year, based on consultants' diagnostic results, 5 companies will be selected to receive an additional 2 intensive consulting sessions.
Incheon City Selects 3 Distinctive Contents Through Stay-Type Tourism Product Contest
Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Tourism Organization selected a total of 3 distinctive contents through the '2025 Incheon Stay-Type Tourism Product Contest' held with the goal of increasing visitors' stay duration and revitalizing tourism in Incheon.
This contest expanded its scope beyond existing downtown areas to nearby islands including Ongjin County and outer regions, discovering differentiated tourism products that actively reflect the region's unique culture, natural environment, and experiential elements by linking various types of accommodation facilities such as pensions and hotels.

Incheon City Recruits 140 Youth for 2025 Summer Public Institution Part-Time Jobs
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it is recruiting 140 youth for summer part-time jobs where they can experience various duties at public institutions during summer vacation.
This recruitment was organized to provide youth with opportunities to gain administrative experience and enhance their understanding of the local community.
Applicants must be youth who are registered as residents of Incheon City as of the recruitment announcement date and must not have participated in university student and youth part-time job programs implemented by Incheon City within the past two years.
Incheon City Builds Archive and Expands Facilities at Incheon Landing Operation Memorial Hall… Reopening in September
Incheon City has begun earnest work on a project to preserve the memories of veterans who participated in the Incheon Landing Operation and reorganize the memorial hall's functions, in commemoration of the June Patriots and Veterans Month.
According to the city, ahead of the Incheon Landing Operation commemoration week in September, they have begun the "Veterans Archive Construction Project" and preparing "Memorial Hall Renewal Operation Plans."
The purpose is to transform the existing Incheon Landing Operation Memorial Hall in Songdo into a citizen-friendly space by re-examining its historical value through veterans' oral records and improving the outdated exhibition environment.
