Incheon City announced that the ‘2025 Incheon Game Festival’ will be held for two days on July 11 and 12 at Songdo Convensia.

The event includes the final round of the 6th Incheon e-Sports Challenge for amateur gamers, a celebration performance by idol singer Chuu, game exhibitions, hands-on booths, and event zones.

Anyone who enjoys e-sports can attend for free by registering on the website before the event, and more details are available online or through the organizing office.






Incheon Special Judicial Police Uncover 4 Illegal Health Food Sellers


Incheon’s Special Judicial Police announced that four restaurants were caught violating the law during a six-week crackdown on health food businesses.

With the rise in demand for such foods in summer, the city strengthened inspections to ensure public safety.

Violations included false country-of-origin labeling, expired ingredients, and poor hygiene, such as a shop that falsely labeled imported goat meat as partly domestic.





Incheon Office of Education Holds Pre-training for Teacher Academy on Democratic Citizenship


The Incheon Office of Education held pre-training on June 21 for its ‘2025 International Exchange-Based Democratic Citizenship Education Teacher Academy.’

Now in its third year, the academy includes mentoring by last year’s participants, a total of 16 hours of training, and a field study trip to Germany in July.

Participants will later publish books on topics related to democratic citizenship education, and the results will be shared with schools.





Namdong Volunteer Center Runs Horticultural Therapy Program for Seniors


The Namdong-gu Volunteer Center announced it ran a special horticultural therapy program at the Manbu Senior Center with volunteers from Mansu 2-dong and Soongdeok High School’s JOY team.

The program used local resources to help reduce stress and promote emotional stability among seniors.

Incheon Holds ‘Next Incheon’ Forum, Shares Vision for Aging Planned Cities


The City of Incheon announced it successfully held the ‘Next Incheon’ forum yesterday (23rd) at the city hall’s main conference room.

The forum was organized in response to the new Special Act on the Maintenance and Support of Aging Planned Cities, which came into effect on April 27, 2024. It aimed to share the city’s policy direction and implementation strategy for the upcoming master plan on aging planned cities, and to gather a wide range of ideas from citizens and experts.

Rather than being a one-time event, the forum served as an important platform to build practical momentum for planning and policy development going forward.






Incheon Recruits ‘Eco Creators’ for Green Media Content


Incheon City announced it will run the ‘Eco Creators’ program starting in July, selecting citizens interested in resource recycling centers to create environmental content across different media.

The program began last year and will recruit participants until July 4. Up to 10 people will be selected.

Eligible applicants include citizens aged 20 to 39 who either live in Incheon, attend a local school, or work in the city, and who are interested in the field of resource circulation. Final selections will be made through a document screening and announced individually in July.





Incheon Port to Block Illegal Drones with New Counter-System


The Incheon Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries announced it will install an anti-drone system at Incheon Port to prevent illegal drone access.

In partnership with Incheon Port Authority, the office will invest 5.8 billion to install cutting-edge equipment, including drone-detecting radar, radio jammers, and high-performance electro-optical and infrared cameras.

After an eight-month installation period, the system is expected to go fully operational at Incheon Port starting in February next year.
