80th Anniversary of Liberation! A Brilliant Festival of History and Future Unfolding in Incheon


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will hold the 80th Anniversary Liberation Day celebration event at 10 AM on August 15th at the Art Center Incheon Concert Hall.

This event, prepared to commemorate the meaningful year of the 80th anniversary of liberation, consists of various programs including a celebration ceremony, celebration performance, additional events, and sideline events to reflect on Incheon's independence movement history and enhance citizens' pride.

The celebration event is expected to be attended by approximately 1,200 people including key figures such as families of independence patriots, heads of veterans' organizations, local lawmaker, heads of institutions and organizations, city council members, and citizens, to inherit the noble spirit of patriotism of our ancestors and reflect on the meaning of liberation.






Incheon City Launches Full Operation of 'City Tour + Art Tour' Joint Package Starting August 15th


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will begin full operation of an Incheon City Tour joint package, developed in collaboration with private tourism resources to revitalize stay-type tourism, starting August 15th.

This joint package is characterized by combining the Incheon City Tour 'Ocean Route' and Paradise City's 'Art Docent Tour' into a single program.

The usage fee is a total of 22,000 won, which is approximately 35% cheaper than purchasing each product individually, and reservations can be made through the official Incheon City Tour website.






Incheon City Holds 'Policy Proposal Forum on Job Support Measures for Patients with Mild Early-Onset Dementia'


Incheon City, together with the Incheon Metropolitan Dementia Center, will hold a 'Policy Proposal Forum on Job Support Measures for Patients with Mild Early-Onset Dementia' on August 14th.

This forum is designed as a venue to explore practical response measures from various aspects including ▲job retention for early-onset dementia patients ▲expansion of social participation ▲improvement of social awareness.

This forum is open to anyone interested, including dementia patients and their families, workers from related institutions, and corporate and institutional officials, and participation is available after advance registration through the Incheon Metropolitan Dementia Center website.






Korean Immigration History Museum Reborn as a Space Containing the Entire Migration History of the Korean People


Incheon Metropolitan City's Korean Immigration History Museum announced that it has concluded the expansion and reorganization discussions that have continued over 'relocation' versus 'maintaining current location,' and decided to pursue expansion and enhancement of content and personnel at its current location on Wolmido Island.

Incheon City plans to enter full-scale administrative procedures starting with preliminary evaluation for public museum expansion from the second half of this year.

This project will prioritize collecting Korean immigration history materials from around the world, establish permanent exhibition halls based on this collection, and also operate an electronic immigration history museum (e-museum) that anyone can visit online.






Incheon Gyeyang-gu Installs and Operates 'Solar-Powered Pest Control Devices' for Eco-Friendly Pest Control and Conducts Satisfaction Survey


Incheon's Gyeyang-gu announced that it is installing and operating solar-powered pest control devices as part of creating an "eco-friendly healthy city free from infectious diseases."

The pest control devices operate through a physical method that uses LED lights and wavelengths to attract and crush flying insects such as mosquitoes and midges. They are harmless to humans as they do not use chemical pesticides and contribute to carbon neutrality by utilizing solar power.

Before full operation, the district inspected the equipment's operational status and safety, and continues regular inspections to identify and address any issues. Gyeyang-gu plans to conduct a resident satisfaction survey through its website from the 11th to the 22nd.
