Incheon Opens Applications for 4th Youth Traveler Program
Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization are recruiting 60 participants for the fourth edition of the Incheon Youth Traveler Program. The program, open to young people aged 19 to 39 living or working in Incheon, runs from August 14 to 31. Participants will explore hidden tourist spots, create travel content, and promote Incheon on social media. Applications can be submitted via the announcements section on the Incheon Tourism Organization website, or by email to incheon-traveler@naver.com until August 31.
Incheon Holds 2025 West Sea Five Islands Evacuation and Relief Drill
On August 20th, Incheon Metropolitan City conducted the 2025 West Sea Five Islands Evacuation and Relief Drill at Seonhak Gymnasium in Yeonsu-gu.
The exercise simulated an emergency similar to the Yeonpyeong Island shelling, continuing a series of drills over the past two years.Thirteen organizations, including the city, Yeonsu-gu, military, police, and fire services, participated. The drill focused on practicing each agency’s duties and strengthening coordination among all participants.
Applications Open for 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test in Incheon
The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education began accepting applications today for the 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test, or CSAT. A new online pre-entry system allows students to submit information in advance and pay the test fee through a virtual account. Current students and those graduating this year will apply through their schools. Graduates should apply at their former high school or the local education office.
Incheon Central Library Accepts Participants for 2025 Everyday Science Classroom
Incheon Central Library is accepting applications for the 2025 Everyday Science Classroom for first to third graders. The program runs from August 29th to September 19th. Children will learn about force distribution and apply it to design landmarks in Incheon. Tuition is free. Materials cost 32,000 won per student, waived for those eligible for social integration support.
Incheon Education Office and Saeul Foundation of Culture Hosts 40th Writing Contest
The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education and the Saeul Foundation of Culture will host the 40th Saeul Writing Contest on September 6th at Incheon Football Stadium. The event is part of the “Read, Walk, and Write” festival, allowing students and citizens to showcase creativity. Ten activity booths—including traditional games, reading and writing experiences, and cultural programs—will operate starting at 1 p.m. at the north plaza of the stadium
Namdong-gu Supports Installation of Flood-Prevention Facilities for Vulnerable households
Namdong-gu is supporting the installation of flood-prevention facilities in vulnerable households.The program provides backflow valves and flood barriers, particularly for semi-basement homes. This year, 137 backflow valves and 108 flood barriers have been installed.
Ganghwa-gun and Anti-Corruption Commission operate One-day Mobile Citizen Service
Ganghwa-gun, in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, will operate the One-day Mobile Citizen Service on August 27 at Jindallae Hall in the Ganghwa-gun Office.
The program sends investigators and partner organization experts directly to local communities to hear residents’ complaints and provide solutions.
17 participants will offer consultations on agriculture, construction, transportation, welfare, environment, consumer protection, low-income finance, everyday legal issues, and land surveying.
