Incheon Joins Korea-China-Japan Local Governments Exchange Meeting, Boosting Local Diplomacy


Incheon City attended the 26th Korea-China-Japan Local Governments Exchange Meeting held in Yancheng, China. Executive Vice Mayor Ha Byungpil led the delegation.

Representing Korea, Incheon presented its vision under the theme “Incheon, a global city where citizens are happy,” highlighting Incheon International Airport, Incheon Port as a logistics hub, and Songdo International City.

Since 1999, this meeting has rotated annually among the three countries, promoting cooperation among local governments in Northeast Asia.





Incheon Aims for ISO 45001 Certification to Prevent Serious Civic Accidents


Incheon City plans to secure ISO 45001 certification by December for facilities at risk of major accidents affecting citizens.

This international standard, set by International Organization for Standardization (ISO), ensures systematic management of safety and health.

Through the certification, the city seeks to manage risk factors efficiently, strengthen compliance with safety regulations, and enhance safety awareness across all departments.






Incheon Tourism SNS Wins Top Public Sector Award at 2025 Korea SNS Awards Again 


Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Corporation won the Grand Prize in the public sector at the 2025 Korea SNS Awards for the second consecutive year.

The awards evaluate major platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube combining expert review with user engagement metrics.

To showcase Incheon’s charm, the city uses platform-specific content strategies. YouTube features celebrity collaborations and vlog-style travel content, while blogs offer story-driven guides and seasonal recommendations.






Incheon’s First Municipal Dementia Care Home Under Construction, Opening Next Year 


Incheon is building its first municipal dementia care home in Gyeyang-gu, scheduled to open next year.

The facility will accommodate 96 residents with trained professionals and offer customized care programs tailored to residents’ needs.

Once open, it will collaborate with local dementia centers and the municipal dementia hospitals to provide an integrated public care system.





Incheon Hosts 2025 Mental Health Day


Today, October 17, Incheon City is holding the 2025 Mental Health Day event at the Culture Plaza in Incheon Grand Park. The theme is “Open the Door to the Mind — A Journey to Recharge Together.” 

The event aims to raise awareness of mental health and reduce stigma. 

Interactive booths, including Mind Check, Mind Guide, and Mind Recharge Stations, allow citizens to engage in hands-on experiences and enjoy wellness programs together.





Incheon’s Seo-gu to Split Ara-dong into Ara-1-dong and Ara-2-dong on October 20 


On October 20, Incheon’s Ara-dong in Seo-gu will divide into Ara-1-dong and Ara-2-dong to improve administrative efficiency.

The split reflects population growth, which has reached 73,728 residents. New offices will operate in each district—Ara-1-dong at the Geomdan New Town SOC Complex, and Ara-2-dong at the existing Ara-dong office—to minimize inconvenience for residents.





Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation Launches 2025 Dream Park Chrysanthemum Festival


The Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation (SLC) will host the 2025 Dream Park Chrysanthemum Festival from October 23 to November 5 at Dream Park Wildflower Garden in Seo-gu, Incheon.

Since 2004, the festival has transformed the landfill into a vibrant cultural space. Events include concerts, local performances, magic shows, and children’s programs.





Namdong Cultural Foundation Hosts Korea-China-Japan Watercolor Exchange Exhibition 


The Namdong Cultural Foundation in Namdong-gu opened the 2025 Korea-China-Japan Watercolor Academy Exchange Exhibition at Gallery Hwa·So in Namdong Sorae Art Hall.

Running from October 16 to November 6, about 100 artists from the three countries are displaying over 100 watercolor works. 

The exhibition fosters artistic exchange and strengthens East Asian cultural connections, bringing artists together after pandemic restrictions.
