Incheon City Wins Prime Minister’s Award at the Korea Logistics Awards — the Only Local Government Honored Nationwide
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it received the Prime Minister’s Award at the “33rd Korea Logistics Day (Nov. 3)” hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, in recognition of its contribution to the development of Korea’s logistics industry.
The award ceremony was held on November 3 at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul. Incheon was the only local government in the country to receive the Korea Logistics Award, recognized for its achievements such as introducing the nation’s first “1,000-Won Delivery Service for Small Businesses” and operating “Community Logistics Rest Areas.”
Based on these achievements, the city plans to expand the 2nd phase of the 1,000-Won Delivery Project to all stations of Incheon Subway Lines 1 and 2 starting November 10, 2025. Through this, more small business owners will be able to use delivery services easily and at low cost.
Incheon City Holds Training Program for Licensed Real Estate Agents
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will conduct a “Training Program for Licensed Real Estate Agents” on November 7, 13, and 28 to strengthen professional competence and create a safer real estate transaction environment for citizens.
This training is a legally required course that licensed real estate agents must complete every two years. Agents who completed the 2023 training must finish six hours of online classes through the Korea Association of Realtors Cyber Education Center, followed by six hours of in-person training in November.
The in-person training will be held at the Incheon Branch Education Center of the Korea Association of Realtors. It will focus on preventing real estate transaction accidents, real estate laws, and especially measures to prevent rising cases of rental fraud.
‘A Piece of True Art’: Lecture by Art Appraiser Kim Young-bok from “Masterpiece Appraisal”
The Incheon Metropolitan City Museum will host a lecture titled “Collection: The Joy of Owning a Genuine Artwork” on November 7 at 2 p.m., featuring art appraiser Kim Young bok, a renowned antique expert from the TV show Masterpiece Appraisal.
This lecture marks the final session of the museum’s fall “Art and Happiness: Four Perspectives by Four Masters” program. Under the theme “The Fulfillment of Happiness through Art,” Kim will share the meaning of joy found in collecting and appreciating art.
The lecture is free of charge and open to all Incheon citizens interested in art.
Incheon City Participates in 2025 Blockchain Promotion Week
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will participate in the “2025 Blockchain Promotion Week × Web 3.0 Conference” held at COEX in Seoul from November 4 to 5, operating an Incheon Blockchain Promotion Booth.
Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and co-organized by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP), this event is Korea’s leading blockchain conference. Under the theme “A Value Ecosystem Built on Digital Trust: Blockchain and Web 3.0,” it brings together experts from domestic and international industries, research institutions, and global organizations.
Incheon City will showcase various blockchain business support projects led by the Incheon Blockchain Technology Innovation Support Center located in Songdo International City.
Incheon Seo-gu Selects 98 ‘Open Childcare Centers’ for Safe and Transparent Childcare
Incheon Seo-gu announced that it has selected a total of 98 “Open Childcare Centers” this year, recognizing efforts to create transparent and safe childcare environments.
The district conducted on-site inspections for all centers that applied and assigned scores fairly based on detailed selection criteria.
Newly selected centers will hold the designation for one year starting in November, and reselected centers for three years. During this period, they will receive administrative incentives such as priority support for assistant teachers and substitute cooks, priority allocation of teaching materials, and additional points when applying for designations such as “Public-Type” or “Incheon-Type” childcare centers.
Bupyeong-gu Urges Residents to Apply for Eco-Friendly Boiler Installation Before the Year Ends
Incheon Bupyeong-gu urged eligible residents to apply quickly for the low-NOx eco-friendly boiler installation and replacement support project, which will end this year.
Eligible applicants include basic livelihood recipients, lower-income households, single-parent families, multi-child families (with two or more children) whose income is below 100% of the median income based on health insurance payments, and welfare facilities for children, the elderly, or persons with disabilities under the Social Welfare Services Act.
Households that replace a home boiler older than three years with an eco-friendly model certified with an environmental label within this year can apply. Currently, 86 units remain available for support.
Namdong-gu Conducts Pollution Response Drill for Water Quality Accidents
Incheon Namdong-gu conducted its own pollution response drill at Jangsu Stream in Mansu-dong to strengthen its ability to respond to water pollution incidents.
The drill simulated a situation where oil leaked into the stream due to a tanker truck overturning accident.
Through aerial monitoring of the mid- and downstream areas of Jangsu Stream, the district further strengthened its response capability to water pollution accidents.
Michuhol-gu Facilities Management Corporation Joins Free Toy Repair Project
The Incheon Michuhol-gu Facilities Management Corporation announced that it would participate in the “Free Toy Collection and Repair Project” organized by the district’s Resource Circulation Division.
This project repairs toys collected from residents and provides them to children from low-income families while also creating jobs for elderly workers who repair the toys—making it an environmentally friendly social contribution initiative.
Toy collection boxes have been installed at 21 administrative welfare centers and 14 daycare centers across the district. The corporation will be responsible for collecting and transporting toys from the welfare centers.
