IFEZ Proposes Eased Criteria for Minor Modifications in Large-Scale Development Zones
Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) announced that it proposed an amendment to ease the criteria for minor modifications within large-scale development zones at the 33rd Council of Directors of Free Economic Zone Authorities hosted by the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority.
Under the current Enforcement Decree of Free Economic Zones, the same criteria are applied to all development districts regardless of their total area, making it difficult to flexibly adjust land use plans or infrastructure plans in larger development zones.
To address these limitations, the IFEZ proposed applying separate, more flexible criteria for large-scale development zones.
An IFEZ official stated that the agency will continue its efforts to improve relevant systems by reflecting on-site feedback, with the goal of promoting practical investment and revitalizing the local economy.
