Incheon Launches Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event for Kimchi-Making Season


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will host an Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event from November 19 to 23 across nine traditional markets in the city, aiming to boost traditional market activity, revitalize seafood consumption, and support the local economy in time for the kimchi-making season.

The event will take place at nine traditional markets, including Incheon General Fish Market in Jung-gu; Nambu General Market, Yongnam Market, and Yonghyeon Market in Michuhol-gu; Okryeon Market in Yeonsu-gu; Soraepogu Traditional Fish Market and Soraepogu General Fish Market in Namdong-gu; Bupyeong Kkang Market, Jinheung General Market, and Bupyeong General Market in Bupyeong-gu; and Jakjeon Market in Gyeyang-gu.

During the event period, consumers purchasing domestically sourced seafood can receive an Onnuri gift certificate refund of up to 30% of the purchase amount, with a maximum refund of 20,000 won per person.






Incheon to Host “Youth Ideas for Korean Unification” Dialogue Program


Incheon city is preparing a special forum to hear the voices of young people who will lead the future era of inter-Korean unification and to explore a shared vision for a unified Korea.

The youth social dialogue program, “Youth Unification Idea Talk-Talk,” will take place on November 27 at the 60th Anniversary Memorial Hall of Inha University.

Organized by the Incheon Unification Plus Center, the program is open to all young adults aged 19 to 34. It will feature a talk concert with unification experts and small-group discussions tailored to participants’ areas of interest.






Incheon Hosts ‘Here & There Concert’ to Celebrate Completion of New Street Performance Venue


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it held the “Here & There Concert” on Sunday, November 16 at 2 PM at the small performance stage near Gu-eup Ferry Terminal in Yeongjong-dong, Jung-gu, celebrating the completion of the city’s ‘Street Performance Venue Development Project.’

Against the backdrop of late-autumn scenery, the event offered cultural enjoyment for both tourists and local residents, receiving an enthusiastic response.

Local artists in Incheon performed across three separate acts, providing a rich and engaging experience for the audience.






Incheon to Hold 27th Incheon History Academic Conference


Incheon city announced that the 27th Incheon History Academic Conference, titled “Goryeo During the Gangdo Period and East Asia” will be held on November 21 at the Incheon Culture & Arts Center.

Co-organized by Incheon city, Ganghwa-gun, and the Korean Medieval History Association, the conference will examine the historical value of Gangdo (江都)—the Goryeo capital during the Mongol invasions, located in present-day Ganghwa-do—and discuss the need to establish a national museum dedicated to the period.

Given Ganghwa’s unique status as the only former Goryeo capital located in present-day South Korea, the establishment of a national museum is expected not only to strengthen the historical identity of Incheon and Ganghwa but also to serve as a future hub for inter-Korean joint research initiatives.






Incheon Hosts Successful Presentation of the “Charming Incheon Cultural Heritage Playground” Program


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it successfully held the results presentation for the “Cultural Heritage Playground in Incheon, the More You Know, the More Lovely” program on the 15th at Jemulpo Club.

The “Cultural Heritage Playground in Incheon” is a sustainable development education program that teaches the values of diversity and inclusion by engaging participants with Incheon’s cultural heritage.

Now in its third year, the program brought together more than 30 participants—including multicultural youth from Segero International Middle and High School and local artist mentors—who spent the summer and fall exploring major cultural sites such as Goryeo-era heritage in Ganghwa, the Incheon Open Port area, and the Museum of Korean Emigration History.
