Incheon City Shares Next Year’s Major Work Plans With Citizens


Incheon City will hold a session to share major work plans for next year with citizens as it approaches the end of the 8th civil administration term in June.

The city announced that it will hold 2026 major work briefing sessions on six key municipal policy fields from today to the 28th.

Through these briefing sessions, the city plans to communicate the direction of next year’s administration to citizens and strengthen field-centered policies.






Incheon City Begins Early Identification of Projects for the 2027 Smart Village Program


Incheon City announced that it has begun early identification of projects in preparation for the Ministry of Science and ICT’s national Smart Village Distribution and Expansion Project for 2027, aiming to promote digital transformation and strengthen balanced regional development.

The project focuses on building smart services that utilize ICT to solve local issues and improve citizens’ quality of life.

Starting with this briefing session, the city plans to complete early identification of service ideas for the 2027 Smart Village Program and finish applying for the project by February next year after the ministry’s official announcement.




 

Guide to “2026 School Admission Notification and Preliminary Orientation”


The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will conduct the “2026 School Admission Notification and Preliminary Orientation” in cooperation with local governments.

Admission notification letters will be delivered to the guardians of eligible children from the 10th to the 20th of next month via mail or in person, and can also be issued online through Government24 from the 3rd to the 20th of next month.

Most elementary schools in Incheon will conduct the preliminary orientation on January 6 next year, but the schedule may vary by school, so guardians must check the date listed in the admission notification letter.





 

Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education Operates “High School Credit System Preview” in Schools


The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that from the 17th to December 19, it will operate the “High School Credit System Preview” program, in which high school teachers visit middle schools and give lectures to third-year students.

This program aims to help students understand the high school credit system, which will be fully implemented in 2025, with 27 teachers from the High School Credit System Support Group visiting 72 middle schools that applied in advance to provide grade-level, in-person lectures.

The lecture content includes changes in high school life, understanding of the 2022 revised curriculum, and methods for choosing subjects.





 

Traditional Liquor Experience Festival Opens at Gaehangjang


Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization announced that they will host the hybrid cultural festival “2025 Sangsang Platform Sulsul Festa” from the 22nd to the 23rd at Sangsang Platform, a cultural complex in the Gaehangjang area.

The event was planned to explore new possibilities for traditional liquor culture and to revitalize local breweries in Incheon.

A total of 32 breweries from across the country, including brands that grew in Incheon, will participate to offer a multi-layered experience of seeing, tasting, and learning about traditional liquor.






Ongjin-gun Wins First Prize in Club Competition


Incheon’s Ongjin-gun announced that it achieved outstanding results by winning the First Prize in the club competition and the Excellence Award in the sports competition at the 5th Incheon Resident Autonomy Unity Festival, hosted by Incheon City and organized by the Incheon Resident Autonomy Association.


This festival was held in two parts — the unity ceremony and the club competition — with around 4,600 participants from resident autonomy councils of the city’s 10 counties and districts, becoming a venue for exchange and solidarity.

Ongjin-gun earned high praise from the judges for its solid skills and high-quality performance, winning the grand prize in the resident autonomy competition and enhancing the county’s reputation.





 

Incheon Bupyeong-gu Conducts 2025 Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery Census


Incheon’s Bupyeong-gu announced that it will conduct the “2025 Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery Census” from the 20th to December 22 to serve as foundational data for future local policies and support projects.

The census targets farming, forestry, and fishery households in Bupyeong-gu as of December 1, 2025, and participation will be available remotely from the 20th to the 30th.

For households unable to respond remotely, surveyors will visit from December 1 to 22 and conduct face-to-face surveys using handheld computers.






Incheon Yeonsu-gu Restricts Installation Period for Rally Banners


Incheon’s Yeonsu-gu announced that it will enforce a revised ordinance limiting the installation period of rally banners to prevent indiscriminate posting.

The revised ordinance allows banners for rallies or events to be installed only during the actual period of the rally or event.

Violations will result in fines ranging from 80,000 won to 800,000 won depending on the banner size.
