Incheon Metropolitan City Hosts 2025 Youth Social Venture Showcase


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it held the “2025 Youth Social Venture Support Program Performance Showcase and Networking Event” yesterday at the Orakai Songdo Park Hotel.

Eight social venture companies selected for this year’s program presented their annual achievements and shared insights and expertise with one another.

The city noted that the active exchange strengthened the foundation for the sustainable growth of youth-led social ventures.





Incheon Metropolitan City Concludes ‘2025 Incheon Creativity X Design Week’


Incheon Metropolitan City reported that it successfully wrapped up the “2025 Incheon Creativity X Design Week,” held from November 13 to 14 at the Connect Hall in Incheon Startup Park.

The event was organized to discuss international cooperation and strategies for joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the field of design as the city moves toward becoming a sustainable creative city.

Through this two-day program, Incheon reaffirmed the importance of cross-sector collaboration and governance for its creative city initiative and stated that it will accelerate efforts to join the UNESCO network next year.






Incheon Metropolitan City Completes Preparations for the 2025 Incheon Marathon


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that the 2025 Incheon Marathon will take place on November 23, spanning Incheon Munhak Stadium and areas across Michuhol-gu, Yeonsu-gu, and Namdong-gu.

More than 20,000 participants from nine countries are expected to join the event.

Traffic control will be implemented on major marathon routes—including Seonhak Station Intersection, Coastal Guard Post Three-way Intersection, Art Center Incheon, Anmal Intersection, and Incheon Metropolitan City Hall—from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the day of the race.






Incheon Culture & Arts Center Presents Six Performances to Close Out the Year


The Incheon Culture & Arts Center is presenting six year-end performances to beautifully conclude 2025.

Featuring theater, choir, ballet, Korean dance, and classical music, the diverse lineup aims to offer comfort for the past year and a hopeful beginning for the new one.

A city official said they hope the six year-end performances at the newly reopened Incheon Culture & Arts Center will offer comfort and bring renewed energy to citizens as the year comes to a close.






Yeonsu-gu Public Bus System Set for March Launch


Finally, Incheon's Yeonsu-gu has completed a series of resident briefings on its new public bus system, which is scheduled to launch next March.

The sessions were designed to gather resident opinions on the new bus routes and other traffic improvements, such as stricter enforcement on personal mobility devices. The district plans to finalize the routes by February before conducting trial runs.






​Incheon Education Office Cuts English Village Budget​


The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education has cut its budget related to the Incheon English Village, which had been under suspicion for conflict of interest. The cut primarily affects 'regional-linked English experience activities.' An education office official stated that the decision was made due to a difficult financial situation and the program being a low funding priority.





Namdong-gu Holds Traffic Safety Education for Seniors​


Incheon's Namdong-gu Office, in partnership with Namdong Police, conducted a traffic safety education session for about 50 local seniors. Held during 'Pedestrian Safety Week,' the training focused on safe walking habits. A police officer explained the '5 Principles of Road Crossing'—Find, Stop, Look, Wait, and Cross slowly. Participants were also given reflective vests and hats for nighttime safety.
