Incheon’s Home Sale Prices Rise for the First Time in a Year in October
Incheon’s housing sale prices turned upward last month for the first time in a year.
According to the real estate market trend report released on the 20th—based on data from the Korea Real Estate Board—the home sale price index in Incheon increased by 0.07% in October 2025.
After recording a –0.06% change in November last year, Incheon’s home sale price index continued to decline for 11 consecutive months through September this year.
Incheon’s Long-Abandoned Yeongjong-do Automatic Waste Collection Facility to Undergo Repairs Next Year
Repairs to restore normal operations at the automatic waste collection facility on Yeongjong-do—left neglected for more than a decade—are set to begin next year.
The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced that it will start repair work in the first half of next year on the “Automatic Clean Net” system installed in Yeongjong Sky City in Jung-gu.
LH plans to select a contractor and complete the repair project by the second half of 2027, followed by one year of commercial operation under real-life conditions, before handing the facility over to Jung-gu in the second half of 2028.
Incheon’s “Treasure Island 119 VR” Experience Captivates Citizens
Incheon Metropolitan City is offering a mobile virtual reality (VR) experience service for island travelers in the waiting hall on the first floor of the Coastal Passenger Terminal at Incheon Port.
The Treasure Island 119 Panorama features immersive footage created with drones and 360-degree cameras, showcasing 119 major attractions across 14 islands in three coastal districts. The VR mode provides a highly realistic, on-site sense of immersion.
The city plans to continue operating the VR experience service and will run a Treasure Island 119 Panorama VR booth for citizens at the Incheon Island Festa 2025, scheduled for November 29 at the Sangsang Platform.
Incheon City to Open Exhibition Exploring the Cultural Significance of Crabs
The Incheon Metropolitan City Museum announced that it will host the special exhibition “Blossoms of the Sea: Halt, Crab!” from November 25 to February 22 next year.
The exhibition sheds light on the crab—long valued in Incheon as a food ingredient, a subject of folk beliefs, and even a symbol in literature and art—revisiting its fading cultural significance from multiple perspectives.
The exhibition is organized into three sections: “Think you know crab? Think again”, “Crabs: Becoming Life and Belief in Incheon” and “Interpretations of the Crab: New Perspectives”
Ongjin-gun Provides Kimchi Donations to 600 Vulnerable Households
The Ongjin-gun Volunteer Center has launched the “2025 Winter Kimchi-Making for Love” initiative, beginning in Daecheong-myeon on the 18th and continuing through the 28th to support vulnerable households during the winter season.
Volunteers from seven branch offices in Ongjin-gun, along with local government officials and military personnel, worked together to make kimchi, which will be delivered to a total of 600 vulnerable households.
Participants will not only deliver the kimchi but also visit recipient homes to check on their well-being and share warm community support.
Yuyu Base in Bupyeong Concludes 2025 Youth Supporters Program ‘Holssi’
Yuyu Base in Bupyeong, a youth support center in Bupyeong-gu, announced the completion of its Youth Supporters Program “Holssi.”
The program was designed to give young people hands-on experience by enabling them to produce youth policy–related content and engage with the local community.
Twelve participating youths created their own content—ranging from articles and videos to design work—based on their areas of interest, expressing their perspectives and ideas.
