Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization successfully held the 2025 Incheon MICE Day yesterday at Songdo Convensia, strengthening cooperation in attracting meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions.
This year’s event drew particular attention as it combined two major programs-the Incheon Tourism and MICE Forum, which serves as a policy research platform, and the Incheon MICE Alliance Regular Meeting, a key public–private cooperation channel. The integrated format provided an opportunity for strengthened networking and discussions on future collaboration.
The 2025 Incheon MICE Day is being recognized for promoting active engagement among Incheon City, the Incheon Tourism Organization, academia, and industry partners, and for contributing to the vitality of the region’s overall MICE ecosystem.

Incheon City’s Grand Park Office has opened a newly constructed detour pathway connecting Seochang 2-gu’s LH Humancia Complex 12 to Sorae Ecology Park.
Residents in the area had previously used an old embankment road, originally built for salt field operations, to access the park.To reduce inconvenience and improve accessibility, the city built a new route that bypasses the embankment section, providing a safer and more convenient passage for visitors.
[Incheon Metropolitan City Museum to Hold Book Concert and Exhibition for the Release of ‘Diary of the National Defense Corps’]
The Incheon Metropolitan City Museum is holding a book concert and a small exhibition showcasing the original manuscript of Diary of the National Defense Corps: A Young Boy’s Experience in the Korean War, on December 9 at 3 p.m. in the museum’s Seoknam Hall.
The diary was written by Sim Jae-gap, an Incheon elder and advisor to the Gil Young-hee Memorial Society, who was drafted into the National Defense Corps during the Korean War. He recorded his experiences every day for about six months, from the time he was called up until he returned home.
Sim Jae-gap will attend the book concert in person to share his testimony and speak about his experiences described in the diary.

The Incheon City Choir’s performance of Handel’s Messiah, led by Artistic Director Yoon Ui-jung, played to a full house at the Arts Center Incheon Concert Hall on December 2, successfully concluding the ensemble’s year-end program.
After opening the year with an invited performance in Indonesia for the 2025 season, the choir closed out the year with one of the most highly regarded works of the holiday repertoire-the complete rendition of Handel’s Messiah.
The choir delivered a performance of exceptional depth and precision, combining meticulous interpretation, rigorous preparation, and the artistry that has earned the ensemble recognition on international stages.
[Incheon Jung-gu, Launching Winter Safety Net for Vulnerable and Elderly Residents]
Incheon Jung-gu is launching a winter safety net designed to protect vulnerable and elderly residents living alone, as the district prepares for severe cold waves and heavy snowfall.
From November through March, Incheon Jung-gu will operate an emergency reporting and communication system to ensure rapid responses to safety incidents. The district will also conduct regular home and environment inspections and make routine welfare calls to check on the safety of seniors living alone.
In addition, Incheon Jung-gu will provide heating subsidies to 96 senior centers in the area, offering monthly support ranging from 140,000 to 470,000 won over a five-month period, depending on each center’s size and membership.
[Incheon Seo-gu, conducting Year-End Inspection of Cake Manufacturers and Retailers]
Incheon Seo-gu is conducting a five-day intensive hygiene inspection of cake manufacturers and retailers from December 8th to 12th, ahead of Christmas and the year-end season when the consumption of baked goods is expected to increase. The district is carrying out the inspections to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure safe food products for residents.
The inspections cover all businesses involved in the production or sale of cakes, including food manufacturing and processing facilities, on-site manufacturing and processing shops, cafés and other dine-in establishments, and bakeries.
Minor violations will be corrected on-site, while major, intentional, or repeated violations will result in penalties or legal action in accordance with relevant laws.
