Incheon City Holds “2025 Carbon Neutral Climate Citizen Community Achievement Sharing Event”


Incheon City announced that it held the “2025 Carbon Neutral Climate Citizen Community Achievement Sharing Event” at Incheon City Hall on December 9, encouraging communities and contributors who led carbon-neutral lifestyle practices during the year.

The event was prepared to continue the spread of a citizen-led carbon-neutral culture through presentations of outstanding cases and the screening of achievement videos.

During the event, excellent practices from climate citizen communities were introduced, and the youth supporters team “Greeny” of the Incheon Carbon Neutral Research and Support Center also shared their activities, highlighting the importance of intergenerational awareness improvement and solidarity in action.





Incheon City Strengthens Public Safety by Systematically Improving Aging Sewer Pipelines


Incheon City announced that it is continuously promoting a comprehensive improvement project to secure the structural safety of aging sewer pipelines that are more than 20 years old.

Based on the results of the “Aging Sewer Pipeline Precision Inspection” conducted from 2019 to 2025, the city will repair 81.2 km of vulnerable sections with structural defects step by step until 2029.

Through this project, Incheon plans to prevent urban ground collapse (sinkholes), reduce flooding risks during heavy rainfall, and strengthen residential safety by eliminating factors that threaten citizen safety in advance.






New Waste Incineration Resource Circulation Center in Songdo to Be Completed by 2030


Incheon City announced that it plans to complete its new waste incineration facility (Resource Circulation Center) in Songdo International City by 2030.

The city has completed administrative procedures this year, including public building planning review and approval of the shared property management plan, and is currently consulting with the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the adjustment of the total project cost.

The consultations include discussing additional budgets for improving odor control at the waste receiving area and securing construction safety.






Incheon Jawoldo Begins Pilot Operation of PAV and Drone Flight Test Site


Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP), an organization under Incheon City, announced that it has built a “PAV (Personal Air Vehicle) and Drone Flight Test Site” on Jawoldo in Ongjin-gun and began pilot operation last month.

The test site was established to support companies conducting flight demonstrations and product commercialization for future aviation mobility, including PAVs, drones, and urban air mobility (UAM).

The site is equipped with flight monitoring, control systems, surrounding weather observation systems, and aircraft charging equipment.






Culture and Arts Complex to Be Developed on Inha University Campus to Revitalize the Old City Center


A project will be promoted to break the boundaries between the university and the local community and create cultural and arts facilities centered on the Inha University campus.

The project aims to develop the Inha University Biryong Parking Lot area (43,000㎡) in Yonghyeon-dong, Michuhol-gu, together with the Incheon City cultural facility site (6,000㎡).

The project site will include cultural and arts facilities such as a performance hall, exhibition hall, creative studios, and a library for use by both university members and local residents.






Operation End Date of Passenger Ship Circulating Between Deokjeokdo and Nearby Islands Delayed to July Next Year


The end date for operating the passenger ship that circulates between Deokjeokdo in Incheon and nearby islands has been postponed to July next year.

The Incheon Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries announced that it recently posted a notice on the national procurement system for the “6th National Subsidy Route (Jinri–Ul-do) Operation Service Project.”

The scale of support stated in the notice is about 290 million, which is half of the annual budget set this year, and the project period is from January to June next year.

An official from the Incheon Regional Office said, “We initially reviewed operating the Narae-ho until the first quarter of next year but decided to operate it until the first half after reflecting residents’ opinions,” adding, “We will prepare alternatives in consultation with related agencies before the operation ends.”






Incheon Housing and City Development Corporation to Open ‘Modern Architectural Heritage No. 3’ in Songhak-dong on the 12th


Incheon Housing and City Development Corporation (iH) announced that the building in Songhak-dong, Jung-gu, designated as the third project of the “Modern Architectural Heritage Regeneration Project,” will open on the 12th.

Designed in the 1970s by architect Gong Il-gon, the building features a unique structure in which all rooms are connected around a central courtyard.

From December 12 to 23, materials documenting the construction process and the life records of the building owner’s family will be displayed in an archive-style exhibition.







Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency to Reflect Citizen Survey Results in Next Year’s Operational Plan


The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency announced that it will conduct a two-week online survey from the 10th to the 23rd to reflect citizen opinions in establishing next year’s major operational plans.

The survey items consist of seven categories, including 112 emergency response, crime prevention, investigation, assemblies and demonstrations, and traffic safety.

Any Incheon citizen can participate in the survey by scanning the QR code on the poster or clicking the banner on the Incheon Police Agency website.
