(News) Incheon Launches “Loneliness Response Taskforce”


Incheon city announced that it held an inaugural ceremony yesterday (11th) at City Hall to launch the “Loneliness Response Taskforce,” a joint public–private initiative aimed at addressing residents’ loneliness.

The event marks the city’s first official step toward building a community that is safe from loneliness and brought together about 200 participants, including representatives from related institutions, citizens, and public officials.

Moving beyond its existing focus on isolation and reclusion, Incheon plans to expand support so that any resident who feels lonely can easily seek help and maintain healthy social connections within the local community.






(News) Incheon Provides Private-sector Expert Technical Support to Pollution-Emitting Businesses


Incheon city provided free environmental management consulting to pollution-emitting business sites in local industrial complexes, in collaboration with private-sector experts.

This year, the city inspected a total of 1,356 facilities out of 2,158 regulated businesses — including 264 air-emission facilities, 233 wastewater-discharge facilities, and 858 integrated air-and-water discharge facilities — identifying 125 violations as of the end of November.

The technical support involved on-site visits to review the operation and management of air and wastewater treatment systems, assess potential legal violations of environmental laws, diagnose sources of complaints and structural issues, listen to industry challenges, and offer improvement measures and follow-up support.






(News) Jung-gu and Inha University Sign Agreement to Improve Food Service Environment


Incheon’s Jung-gu announced that it has signed an agreement with the Inha University Industry–Academic Cooperation Foundation to operate the “Jung-gu Center for Foodservice Management for Children and Social Welfare Facilities.”

The center will provide systematic and rigorous hygiene and nutrition management, along with tailored education programs, for children’s foodservice facilities and social welfare institution kitchens within the district.

The agreement follows the expiration of the previous outsourcing contract for the center, which ends in December.






(News) Jung-gu Selected for Renewable Energy Convergence Project for Third Consecutive Year


Jung-gu in Incheon has been selected for the national “2026 Renewable Energy Convergence Support Project,” jointly administered by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Energy Agency. With the selection, the district secured approximately 1.7 billion won in national and municipal funding.

This marks the district’s third consecutive selection, from 2024 to 2026, reinforcing its status as a leading local government in renewable energy deployment.

The project supports the installation of various renewable energy sources — such as solar power, solar thermal, and geothermal energy — tailored to local conditions.






(News) Namdong-gu Youth Support Center Holds 2025 Graduation and Year-end Showcase


The Namdong-gu Youth Support Center (Kkum-dream) announced that it held its “2025 Graduation Ceremony and Year-end Showcase.”

The event included celebratory performances, the awarding of graduation and commendation certificates, a yearly activity report, and a year-end showcase. Graduates exchanged congratulations and shared their aspirations for new challenges ahead.

The venue also featured a photo exhibition highlighting youth activities throughout the year, a “Early Days Zone” displaying childhood photos of graduates, exhibits from the Sky Photo Contest with on-site voting, and screenings from the self-development program “AI & Video Editing Creator,” providing a comprehensive look at the students’ growth and accomplishments.
