Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will hold the “2025 Incheon Year-End Countdown Festival” on December 31, the final day of the year, at the outdoor plaza of the Incheon Culture & Arts Center, celebrating the end of 2025 and the beginning of the new year.
The festival will feature performances, hands-on experiences, and an official ceremony from 9 PM through midnight, creating a lively festive atmosphere in the heart of the city.
More than 1,000 citizens will participate in the Citizen Light Performance, delivering the message “A Bold Leap into the Year of the Horse, We Are the Protagonists,” symbolizing shared hope and progress for the coming year.

Incheon City announced the recent completion of the “Beautiful Park (formerly Geomdan Industrial Complex) Public Bus Depot,” located within the Beautiful Park General Industrial Complex in Oryu-dong, Seo-gu.
The new complex depot will include a hydrogen refueling station, maintenance facilities, and a vehicle wash.

The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education offered its Incheon-style vocational educational expertise to areas in Iraq affected by hardship and conflict.
During a visit to Korea, representatives from the Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Nineveh Education Directorate learned about Incheon’s vocational education initiatives designed to support youth independence and workforce development in war-damaged regions.
The program covered policy directions for locally based vocational education, systems supporting student career development and employment, and an operational model that connects schools with industry partners.

Incheon’s Jung-gu has been recognized as a top-performing local government in the 15th Local Government Productivity Awards hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, receiving the Prime Minister’s commendation.
In the productivity index assessment section, Jung-gu received five ‘S’ and six ‘A’ ratings across 18 indicators spanning seven categories, including population management capacity.
Jung-gu Mayor Kim Jeong-heon stated, “We were highly evaluated for our population growth rate, GRDP per capita growth, and fiscal independence. We will continue dedicating administrative capabilities to future regional development.”
(News) Old Kimchi Factory in Incheon Dong-gu to Reopen as Small Art Museum
A former kimchi factory building in Gwaengi-buri Village, Dong-gu, is set to be transformed into a small art museum.
The Dong-gu Office announced plans to spend 1.24 billion won to remodel the former factory in Manseok-dong, relocating and expanding the existing Woori Art Museum, with the new facility scheduled to open in February next year.
Through this project, the museum’s ground floor exhibition area will expand to 112.8 square meters—nearly twice its current size.
