Incheon City to Improve Convenience for Metropolitan Bus Users


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that convenience for metropolitan bus users will be significantly enhanced as most components of the “Incheon-specific Metropolitan Bus User Convenience Improvement Project” have been completed this year. The project has been promoted to ensure the successful settlement of its metropolitan bus quasi-public operation system.

Launched as a pilot initiative following the implementation of the quasi-public metropolitan bus system in October 2024, the project aimed to address inconveniences raised by passengers and improve overall satisfaction and ease of use in public transportation.

With a focus on service improvements that citizens can experience in their daily lives, the city introduced measures such as real-time remaining seat information, boarding guidance for peak-hour congestion, and improved visibility of bus information—areas that had drawn strong public demand.





Incheon City Delivers Donation to Korea Tuberculosis Association, Incheon Branch


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it delivered a donation to the Incheon Branch of the Korea Tuberculosis Association at the city hall reception room on December 23 to support tuberculosis eradication efforts.

The donation will be used for a range of tuberculosis prevention initiatives, including public awareness campaigns, screening programs for vulnerable groups, and treatment support.

Incheon City stated that it will continue its efforts to increase public understanding of tuberculosis prevention and work toward building a healthier and safer community.





Photo Exhibition to Be Held at City Hall Lobby on Christmas Eve


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that a photo exhibition titled “Happy to Be an Incheon Citizen” will be held on December 24 at the first-floor lobby of the main city hall building.

The exhibition is an extension of the “Happy to Be an Incheon Citizen” campaign conducted during the 61st Incheon Citizens’ Day celebration on October 11.

The exhibition will run from 9 AM to 6 PM and will be open to the public free of charge.





Winter Issue of The Window of Incheon Published to Mark 10th Anniversary


Incheon Metropolitan City announced the publication of the winter issue of The Window of Incheon, a Chinese-language newsletter commemorating its 10th anniversary.

First launched in 2015 as the nation’s first Chinese-language newsletter published by a local government, The Window of Incheon is produced and distributed on a quarterly basis.

To mark its 10th anniversary, the city released special commemorative issues throughout the year, with the winter edition serving as the final year-end issue of the anniversary series.






(News) Seo-gu Holds University Career Mentoring Program in Partnership with Inha University


Incheon’s Seo-gu announced that it held its second 2025 “University Career Exploration Mentoring Program with Inha University” on December 20.

The mentoring initiative, operated jointly with the Inha With-I Youth Career Support Center under a cooperative agreement, provides experiential STEM-focused career exploration for middle school students in Seo-gu.

The program supports students in deepening their understanding of key future industrial fields and assists them in exploring academic and career paths more systematically.





(News) Incheon Confirms Additional Station Between Songdo and Incheon City Hall on GTX-B Line


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that construction of an additional station on the Incheon section of the Metropolitan area’s Great Train Express (GTX) Line B, which is scheduled to open in 2031, has been confirmed.

According to the city, the feasibility review conducted by the Korea National Railway showed a benefit-cost ratio (B/C) of 1.03—exceeding the standard threshold of 1.0 required for large-scale investment—officially approving the project to proceed.

The feasibility study estimated that the added station would increase average daily ridership across the entire line by approximately 3,010 passengers.
