Arts Center Incheon To Host Spanish Brass Luur Metalls Performance


Arts Center Incheon will host a performance by the world-renowned brass quintet Spanish Brass Luur Metalls on March 22 at 5 p.m. Formed in 1989, the ensemble has built a distinctive presence on the international stage for more than 35 years. In this performance, the group is expected to showcase the essence of brass music through refined ensemble playing and powerful energy. New Students Recruited For 2026 Incheon Agricultural University


The Incheon Agricultural Technology Center is recruiting new students for Incheon Agricultural University’s 2026 class to foster future agricultural leaders in the region. Established in 2020, the university aims to cultivate professional farmers equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for the specialized development of Incheon’s agricultural sector. So far, it has produced 240 graduates across nine departments over six classes. For its seventh class, the university has newly opened a Digital Agriculture Department to train farmers capable of data-driven decision-making, as agriculture rapidly shifts toward precision farming using AI, big data, and smart farm technologies.





Incheon Expands ‘Go Go Go Project II’ For Early Childhood Development Support


Incheon Metropolitan City will sequentially recruit families to participate in Incheon Mom Center’s “Go Go Go Project II,” an initiative designed to strengthen stage-by-stage support for infants, toddlers, and their parents. For this year’s project, the developmental screening method has been diversified compared to previous years. Parents will be able to conduct developmental screenings directly, or experts will also closely examine children’s key developmental areas. Applications can be submitted through the Bumodawoom website, and additional information is available through the Incheon Childcare Support Center.





Incheon Converts 730 Diesel School Buses To Eco-Friendly Vehicles


Incheon Metropolitan City has converted 730 diesel-powered school buses used for children’s transportation into eco-friendly vehicles from 2018 through last year. This year, the city also plans to convert 11 additional school buses to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vehicles through its Children’s School Bus LPG Conversion Support Program. Applications will be accepted from March 15 through April 10, with subsidies of 3 million won provided per vehicle. Eligible applicants include owners who scrap existing diesel school buses and purchase new LPG vehicles and register or have plans to register them as school transportation vehicles for children.





Incheon Expands Electric Two-wheelers With Subsidies Of Up To 3 Million Won


Incheon Metropolitan City is expanding the distribution of  E-bikes, or electric two-wheelers, to improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions. The city announced that it will implement the 2026 E-bike Subsidy Program through November 30 and supply a total of 220 E-bikes. With a budget of 352 million won, the city plans to distribute 180 units in the first half of the year and 40 in the second half. Subsidies will range from one to three million won per vehicle, depending on the vehicle’s size and performance.





Civil Servant & Painter Choi Myung-sun Donates Exhibition Proceeds


Choi Myung-sun, a public official from the Culture and Tourism Division, has recently donated one million won to help disadvantaged neighbors in the community. According to the Jung-gu Office in Incheon, the donation was made using a portion of the proceeds from Choi’s personal art exhibition. Choi is responsible for painting and maintenance work for tourism facilities in areas such as the Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village, Chinatown, and the Wolmi Tourism Special Zone, and has long been active as a painter. The donation will be used through the Incheon Community Chest of Korea to support local welfare projects and help stabilize the livelihoods of vulnerable residents.
