Incheon TP Plans Dubai Export Consultation Event Amid Expected Recovery in Middle East 


As the war between the U.S. and Iran enters a phase of peace negotiations, Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is holding local export consultations with small and medium-sized enterprises in the Incheon region to secure demand for consumption recovery and reconstruction in the Middle East.

 According to Incheon's business community, the Incheon TP Export Support Center is organizing the event for October. 

The organization plans to dispatch around 10 to 15 Incheon-based companies after identifying sectors with strong local demand and consulting with the city government. 

Incheon TP expects firms specializing in plant construction and environmental facilities to show strong interest, particularly as post-war reconstruction projects gain momentum.




Incheon Tourism Organization Earns Fair Recruitment Certification for 6th Straight Year


The Incheon Tourism Organization has received Fair Recruitment Certification for the sixth straight year, setting a record among tourism organizations nationwide. 

The organization said it received high marks in an evaluation conducted by the Korea Management Registrar (KMR) by establishing a blind recruitment system that eliminates restrictions based on age, educational background, and academic major. 

The organization’s recruitment system also provides testing accommodations for applicants with disabilities and operates a one-stop onboarding support system. 

These efforts earned the organization the Minister of Employment and Labor Award last year in the field of fair recruitment.




Incheon Expands On-Site Legal Consultation Services for Franchise Disputes


Incheon Metropolitan City is strengthening on-site legal consultation services for small business owners involved in disputes with franchise headquarters. 

As the prolonged economic downturn leads more franchise operators to terminate contracts early, concerns have grown over excessive penalty fees and the burden of complex legal procedures. 

In response, the city will expand its hands-on support program, under which government officials visit affected businesses directly to explain dispute mediation procedures and provide tailored legal guidance. 

Applications for dispute mediation can be submitted online through the Fair Trade Dispute Settlement Integrated System or through in-person and registered mail submissions.






Incheon Family Park Introduces Mobile Billing and Payment Service


The Incheon Facilities Corporation has converted fee notification services at Incheon Family Park's funeral and memorial facilities to a mobile-based system. 

The new electronic billing and payment service allows users to check notices and make payments directly through their smartphones, improving convenience while reducing the use of paper notices and mailing costs. 

The service will be applied beginning this month to users renewing memorial facility contracts in July and will cover six fee categories, including columbarium extension fees and cemetery maintenance charges. 

The corporation expects the initiative to eliminate more than 10,000 paper notices annually and reduce postal expenses by approximately 78 percent while supporting environmentally friendly administration.




Incheon Urban History Museum to Offer Free ‘Urban Empathy’ Lecture Series


The Incheon Urban History Museum will launch an adult education program on July 8. 

Titled “Urban Empathy,” the lecture series will be held under the theme “Incheon’s Heritage: What Has Disappeared and What Remains.” 

Classes will take place every Wednesday from July 8 through July 29, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the museum's auditorium, for a total of four sessions.

 The program is free and open to all adult residents of Incheon. 

Registration opens on June 23 through the city's integrated online reservation system, with participation limited to the first 80 applicants.




CMAS World Finswimming Championships Open in Incheon


An international competition featuring the world's top finswimmers is taking place in Incheon. 

The city announced that the 24th CMAS World Finswimming Championships will be held at the Munhak Park Tae-hwan Aquatics Center from June 22 through June 29. 

The event is one of the premier international competitions in finswimming and is expected to attract 418 athletes from 38 countries. 

Spectators can enter through the second-floor entrance of the venue, and all competitions will be open to the public free of charge.
