Qualification for Permanent Residence

Applicant must receive counseling on his or her personal circumstances prior to the application for permanent residency.
Naturalization
- Foreigners who have not acquired Korean citizenship may acquire Korean nationality after obtaining permission for naturalization from the Minister of Justice. Details and documents required to apply for the permission of naturalization may be found on the 'Electronic government for foreigners' website (www.hikorea.go.kr) → Information →Immigration Office / sojourn → Nationality / Naturalization.
